Ampol is an ASX-listed Australian transport fuels company headquartered in Alexandria, Sydney, supplying petrol, diesel, lubricants, EV charging and convenience retail through the largest branded fuel network in Australia. It traces its heritage to 1900, runs more than 1,800 Ampol-branded service stations, operates the Lytton refinery in Brisbane and trades in New Zealand through its subsidiary Z Energy. Openings range from service station team members, Foodary and Hungry Jack's shift supervisors, tanker drivers and terminal operators to data engineers, SCADA engineers, business analysts, sales managers and technology leaders in its digital and energy solutions teams.

Z has a clear purpose: Powering better journeys, today and tomorrow. As one of New Zealand’s largest transport energy companies, we have a commitment to delivering safe, secure, and reliable transport energy - with the opportunity to deliver new journeys, with new energy solutions in a changing world.

We are proud to be the Kiwi contingent in the Ampol Group, an independent Trans-Tasman energy company, with trading offices across the globe, which are united behind our shared purpose. While many of the challenges and opportunities we face go beyond national boundaries, together we have the scale, influence, and capability to deliver for our customers, communities, and our people.

The Loyalty and MarTech team shapes and supports customer, loyalty and CRM solutions across Australia and New Zealand. Working across data, finance, digital and site systems, the team enables evolving loyalty offers, strengthens platform ownership and provides clear architecture across Microsoft Dynamics, Dataverse and Salesforce environments.

This role will provide hands-on solution architecture support across the Trans-Tasman customer and loyalty landscape. You’ll quickly take ownership of the space, build strong relationships across squads and turn business needs into practical designs and documentation.

You will have the opportunity to

  • Own solution architecture across customer, loyalty and MarTech initiatives in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Develop solution designs and improve current-state documentation for Microsoft Dynamics, Dataverse and other customer insights environments.
  • Support the evolution of loyalty offers and integrations across CRM, point-of-sale, site systems, data, finance and loyalty platforms.
  • Build trusted relationships across Australian and New Zealand squads, vendors and engineering teams.

What you’ll bring to Z

  • Proven solution or domain architecture experience across CRM, customer, loyalty, MarTech or data platforms.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse or Customer Insights; Salesforce experience is also valuable.
  • Ability to move quickly between projects, understand unfamiliar platforms and provide practical architectural direction.
  • Experience producing clear solution designs, current-state documentation and integration architecture.
  • Understanding of data, finance, loyalty, point-of-sale and enterprise system integrations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to take ownership and build relationships quickly across distributed teams.
  • A pragmatic and adaptable approach, comfortable improving platforms progressively while working within established ways of working.

And of course, you’ll be passionate about what matters to Z, embracing and living our values to help us deliver on our aspirations and broader commitment to Aotearoa New Zealand.

Don’t meet every single requirement? At Z we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

What we can offer you

  • A competitive remuneration package including short-term incentive plan, medical insurance for you and your family, enhanced employer contribution for KiwiSaver
  • Generous leave provisions including enhanced sick leave, parental leave benefits and the option to buy additional leave
  • The balance of hybrid working, enjoy some of your week at home and some in our welcoming office space
  • The opportunity to contribute and be part of a supportive team that is here to make a difference
  • A chance to build your own capability through learning from some of the industry’s most knowledgeable people who have a desire to share their insights along with access to upskilling opportunities and career development across the organisation
  • Two days a year to do Good in your Hood, though our volunteering scheme, a chance for you to help others in your community in a meaningful way to you

The base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $180,000 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
