This means wiring agent harnesses - whether IDE-embedded copilots, CLI-driven coding agents, or custom orchestration runtimes - into CI/CD workflows, from automated brief decomposition and code generation through to PR review, QA gate execution, and deployment.\nYou will own the orchestration layer: how agents are dispatched across foundation models (Claude, GPT, Gemini, open-weight alternatives), how work items flow through stages, how governance guardrails are enforced, and how delivery quality is measured. The role sits at the intersection of platform engineering and AI enablement - you are not building the models, you are building the infrastructure that makes them deliver production-grade software - and then ensuring that infrastructure is adopted and scaled across teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine agent personas, tool boundaries, and typed interfaces between agents and internal systems \nBuild automated QA environments and feedback loops that feed delivery data back into agent context \nHold agent output to the same engineering rigour as human output - linting, type checking, security scanning, regression testing \nEnsure every boundary is typed, every error surfaced, and every unevaluatable gate blocks by default \nCodify reusable agent definitions, engineering standards, pipeline templates, and MCP modules for org-wide adoption \nMentor engineers at all levels in agentic engineering and modern SDLC practices \nPair with teams to embed agentic workflows and build end-to-end delivery ownership \nRun uplift sessions, communities of practice, and retrospectives \nChampion engineering standards and governance that enable speed without breaking trust \nMeasure success by the capability teams retain, not just what's shipped \nQualifications & Experience\nBackground as a full-stack, cloud-native developer. Ideally you’ve built and shipped systems end to end across the full stack (.Net, React/Node/TypeScript) \nTypeScript, .NET, and React fluency - strict typing, typed boundaries, no shortcuts. You understand why an untyped API boundary between an agent and a database is a latent defect \nPaaS and serverless compute (Azure Functions, App Service, Container Apps), containerised workloads, infrastructure-as-code (Bicep or Terraform), and CI/CD pipeline design (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) \nExperience with at least one agentic framework (CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI Agents SDK, Claude Agent SDK, Spec Kit, or native tool-use loops via any of the recognised harnesses and foundation models) \nProven ability to lead, influence, and mentor. You've uplifted end-to-end capability in teams, not just code. You’ve coached engineers across experience levels, championed engineering practices, and left teams stronger than you found them\nNice to have:\nFamiliarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agent tool-use patterns \nPrompt, context, and spec engineering for code generation and autonomous task execution \nObservability tooling: structured logging, tracing, cost tracking across agent runs \nExperience establishing engineering communities of practice or internal developer platforms \nBenefits\nOur total remuneration is competitive.
