The Trainer will demonstrate wave picking procedures, explain the\npurpose and importance of each step, provide hands-on instruction and coaching, monitor associate performance,\naddress questions, and verify competency before authorizing associates to work independently. The Trainer is expected\nto lead by example, uphold company standards for safety, accuracy, and productivity, and provide timely coaching and\nconstructive feedback to correct errors and reinforce adherence to established procedures. The ideal candidate should\nbe patient, confident, self-driven, and capable of clearly explaining processes to individuals with varying levels of\nexperience.\nWork Status Requirement: This position is designated as in-person; any change to work status, including remote, hybrid,\nor part-time arrangements, must be reviewed and approved by Human Resources prior to implementation.\nResponsibilities\nFoster a collaborative team environment to support customer needs and operational goals.\nTrain new associates on wave picking and packing procedures, including scanner operation, SKU identification, order\nscanning, tote assignments, product placement, and proper packing methods.\nDemonstrate standard processes, explain key requirements, and verify associate understanding before independent\nwork.\nTrain associates to identify and resolve common picking exceptions, including inventory discrepancies, incorrect\nlocations, SKU errors, and scanning issues.\nMonitor associate performance, conduct knowledge checks, and provide coaching and corrective feedback to\nreinforce accuracy, safety, and process compliance.\nEvaluate associate readiness for independent work based on demonstrated competency, accuracy, and safe work\npractices.\nCommunicate Picks/Packs Per Hour expectations and coach associates toward established productivity standards.\nIdentify performance or training concerns and communicate recommendations to management.\nSupport ongoing associate training related to process changes, performance improvement, and operational needs.\nPromote safe equipment operation and proper care of picking carts, handheld scanners, and other equipment.\nLead by example by adhering to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety requirements.\nMaintain schedule flexibility, including overtime and weekend availability as needed.\nPerform duties in accordance with the employee handbook, established procedures, and management direction.\nQualifications\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED\nAbility to lift and/or carry up to 45 pounds\nAbility to effectively train and communicate processes to new and existing associates.\nDemonstrated ability to operate handheld scanners and picking equipment.\nGood leadership and organizational skills\nAbility to stand and/or remain physically active for extended periods\nBasic English proficiency\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nStrong attention to detail\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.\nAbility to multitask and manage training responsibilities while supporting daily operational needs.\nLeadership Foundation: Leading yourself is the foundation of strong associate performance, reflecting an ability to\ntake ownership, manage priorities, adapt to change, collaborate effectively, and remain focused on customer and\nbusiness needs; the following competencies outline the behaviors that help associates demonstrate reliability, initiative,\naccountability, and consistent operational success.\nCompetencies\nAction Oriented: Takes initiative, sets clear priorities, and acts with confidence and commitment while balancing\nthoughtful planning with timely execution, engaging others, and avoiding procrastination, perfection, or over analysis\nCustomer Focus: Understands and anticipates customer needs, builds strong relationships, and responds with urgency\nand professionalism while balancing flexibility with established procedures, timelines, and company policies\nLearning on the Fly: Quickly adapts to new challenges by identifying patterns, learning from successes and failures,\nexperimenting with solutions, and applying lessons learned while remaining open to change persistent through setbacks,\nand supportive of others\nPeer Relationships: Builds trust-based, collaborative relationships across teams by finding common ground,\ncommunicating candidly, solving problems with minimal disruption, and navigating the organization effectively while\nmaintaining sound boundaries and shared accountability\nTime Management: Sets priorities, manages timelines, stays focused, and uses time efficiently to complete a broad\nrange of activities with organization, discipline, and consistent productivity\nWorking Conditions\nThis role operates within a structured warehouse production environment where adherence to established workflow\nsequences and output timelines is essential to maintaining production efficiency and meeting shipment deadlines.
