This role collaborates closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and quality teams to ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable, and compliant with applicable industry standards.\nJob Responsibilities - Activities:\nFunctions:\nSupport new product development, product enhancement, and custom-engineered solutions for utility and industrial customers\nDevelop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D)\nCreate fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs)\nApply GD&T principles to ensure accurate tolerancing \nReview and revise drawings based on engineering change requests (ECR/ECO)\nCollaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to translate design concepts into production-ready documentation \nSupport prototype builds and design validation testing \nEnsure compliance with industry codes and standards (UL, IEEE, NEC as applicable)\nAssist in root cause analysis for design related production issues \nMaintain drawing revisions and configuration control within PLM/ERP systems\nEnsure accurate documentation of product specifications and revisions \nSupport internal and external audits related to engineering documentation \nRecommend design improvements to enhance manufacturability and reduce costs\nSupport value engineering initiatives\nIdentify opportunities to standardize components and assemblies \nOther tasks as required \nEducation -
