This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality objectives.\nWorking closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Leadership teams, the Quality Engineer will lead quality improvement initiatives, support product and process development activities, drive root cause investigations and corrective actions, and provide oversight of quality documentation, inspections, testing, and reporting. The Quality Engineer serves as a key contributor in promoting a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction while helping ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nQuality Management System Leadership\nExecute, maintain, and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).\nEnsure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, N299.2, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.\nSupport internal and external audits, certification activities, and compliance initiatives.\nDrive continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.\nDevelop, monitor, and report quality objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and quality metrics.\nAnalyze quality trends and identify opportunities for corrective and preventive improvements.\nPresent quality performance data and recommendations to management\nRoot Cause Analysis & Corrective Action\nLead investigations into quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.\nConduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).\nVerify effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure long-term resolution of identified issues.\nSupport customer and supplier quality issue resolution activities.\nDocumentation & Process Control\nMaintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and records.\nEnsure proper document control and communication of design intent, specifications, and standard procedures.\nDevelop and maintain inspection plans, test plans, verification plans, and validation plans.\nManufacturing Quality Support\nParticipate in and perform inspections of critical transformer manufacturing processes and products.\nWork closely with functional teams to ensure quality requirements are achieved.\nMonitor in-process quality and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing consistency and product reliability.\nSupport quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle.\nCross-Functional Leadership\nCollaborate with R&D, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Field Service teams to develop and improve procedures and processes.\nCommunicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding technical reports, quality issues, and corrective actions.\nCoach, train, and mentor employees on quality system requirements, procedures, and best practices.\nAct as a positive change agent, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nSafety & Compliance\nEnsure all activities are performed in accordance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.\nMaintain compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and industry requirements.\nEducation & Experience\nRequired\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.\nMinimum of 5 years of engineering and/or quality experience.\nDemonstrated experience with Quality Management Systems and ISO certification processes.\nProven working knowledge of: ISO 9001, CSA C88.
