This role will play a critical part in preparing accurate financial statements and ensuring compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and internal controls.\nJob Responsibilities - Activities:\nFunctions:\nTake ownership of core accounting processes \nProvide guidance to junior team members, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive process improvements and ensure timely, accurate reporting\nPrepare and review complex monthly journal entries, including those related to deferred revenue, leases, and other technical areas\nPerform and oversee account reconciliation and analysis for key balance sheet accounts such as accounts receivable, restricted cash, deferred revenue, inventory, and lease accounting\nReview and assess customer invoicing for proper sales tax application and manage the related accounting for accrued sales tax\nReview and reconcile inventory accounts, conduct audits when necessary, and review/update components costs \nPrepare and file multi-state sales tax returns in a timely and accurate manner\nCollaborate with the AR team to support collections, aging analysis, and customer communications\nWork with plant controller on cash flow forecasting \nMaintain and reconcile general ledger subsidiary records, including accounts receivable ledgers and external lease software systems\nPrepare detailed audit schedules for both quarterly reviews and annual audits\nRespond to auditor inquiries as needed.\nSupport the company’s SOX compliance by preparing schedules and ensuring proper documentation of key controls\nServe as a resource and mentor to junior accounting staff;
