Entry Level Civil Engineer

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT), an employee-owned consultant engineering firm, is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Site / Civil Engineer to join our growing Site and Infrastructure team of design professionals in our Herndon, VA or Rockville, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Design of site and infrastructure improvements including grading, utilities, erosion control, stormwater management, site layout, and preparation of calculations and reports.
• Support and preparation of construction documents.
• Processing construction and permit documents through the regulatory agencies.
• Construction support services including site inspections and construction administration duties.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• 0-5 years experience
• Technical proficiency in using AutoCAD including Civil 3D preferred.
• Ability to assist on preparation of engineering studies and reports.
• EIT preferred.
• Prior Internship experience with preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates preferred.
