While all locations are acceptable, candidates based in the Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.\nResponsible for creating innovative and engaging learning solutions that link to key business strategies. Collaborates with key stakeholders to define learning objectives and measure learning outcomes. Designs and develops learning solutions using various instructional design methods that focus on improving organizational performance. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.\nResponsibilities\nPerforms learning needs analysis to fully define root cause of learning needs and provide learning strategy solutions to meet the needs. \nPartners with Company leaders and subject matter experts to identify target audience and learning objectives. Set corresponding instructional objectives.\nCreates engaging materials that support the learning objectives and provide a consistent experience to all learners.\nDevelops all forms of instructional materials: eLearning, face-to-face classroom, virtual classroom, on the job performance support, videos, simulations, role play, assessments etc.\nCollects, monitors and evaluates program data to determine effectiveness, relevance and quality of materials, content and instruction.\nCreates, updates and maintains SCORM compliant eLearning modules within a Learning Management System.\nManages all aspects of the instructional design process and maintains appropriate project documentation.\nKeeps current with market trends and demands. Stays informed on industry best practices and learning technology trends and their impact on the organization.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nBachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent business experience\n3 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in insurance industry \nStrong understanding of instructional design, adult learning theory, learning styles and a variety of learning methodologies \nExtensive experience with eLearning authoring tools, specifically Articulate Storyline\nExperience with virtual classroom technology and Learning Management Systems\nExperience in developing and implementing consistent learning solutions across a multi-state company\nDemonstrated organizational and project management skills \nDemonstrated ability to build strong relationships and be persuasive \nAbility to operate both independently an as part of a team\nPreferred:\nExperience with Kirkpatrick model for measuring learning effectiveness\nCreativity in designing learning solutions\nAdvanced presentation and facilitation skills\nIntermediate knowledge of the insurance industry, its practices and operations; preferable background in multiple lines of business.\nTechnical and Hard Skills:\nArticulate 360\nMicrosoft Office\nAdult Learning Theory\nWritten Communication\nVerbal communication\nTechnical Writing\nLearning Needs Analysis\nAdobe Creative Suite\nGraphic Design\nVisual Design\nProject Management\nStorytelling\nCreativity/Innovation\nID Theories and Models\nVirtual Classroom technology\nVideo Creation and editing technology\nLMS\nLearning Evaluation\nPersuasion and Influence\nThis job description is designed to provide a general overview of the requirements of the job and does not entail a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that will be required in this position.
