Participants will take part in an intensive 9-week program to gain a deep knowledge of the insurance industry, underwriting practices, and the Amwins organization. This program helps candidates develop a variety of professional skills while providing opportunities to network across multiple facets of the organization. For a highly motivated individual, the education and exposure in this program will support a candidate’s desire to excel in his or her underwriting career. \nThe training program will be hosted in Charlotte, NC, where Amwins is based. Participants will be provided housing during the 9-week training. After training in Charlotte, the participant will relocate to Overland Park, KS to work within Alta Risk. Participants will be expected to travel no more than two times a year to Charlotte, NC, or other Amwins offices for additional training over the next few years.\nProgram Assets:\nTargeted education to gain knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and program insurance\nKnowledge checks with case studies, systems training, and presentations\nProfessional development training such communication, professional etiquette, networking, etc.\nSubstantial interaction with Amwins leadership, including the C-suite\nExposure to the Amwins Group Support Team and home office\nOpportunity to build long-lasting relationships with a cohort of talent\nUnderstanding of Amwins systems and technology\nContinued education and training to complement on-the-job duties (leadership, industry knowledge, etc.)\n\nWhat we are looking for:\nRMI degree preferred early in career (less than 2 years of experience)\nInterest and passion for insurance and underwriting\nDemonstrated leadership skills\nEntrepreneurial spirit\nHighly motivated \nProblem solver\nLocated in the listed area\nAble to work in office \nAlta Risk, LLC is an underwriting manager for specialty insurance products. Our underwriters have a combined 100+ years of industry experience and are strategically located across the United States to provide select wholesale brokers with coverage solutions for underserved risks. \nUpon graduation of the 9-week program, the candidate will move into an entry-level underwriting support role within Alta Risk.
