If you have a growth mind set, individual accountability, critical thinking, and are interested in servant leadership this is a great opportunity.\nAs we grow, there will be additional personal and career development opportunities that can be aligned with your core capabilities and personal growth objectives in our underwriting, sales, marketing, data analytics or operation management teams.\nIf you love to drive creative solutions, want to help people and want to be part of a dynamic team, please apply.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nProduction underwriter Director manages their book of business and leads initiatives for strategy changes, process development, mentoring or training to support production underwriters to own the results of their book of business.\nProduction uw directors` will be compensated on profitable growth of their book of business.\nA production underwriter director will work to set strategies to maintain balance between distribution growth and risk selection to drive profitable growth.\nA production underwriting director has and maintains strong agent/broker relationships.\nEngage in activities to generate submissions\nMaintain and lead the relationship with their assigned agents.\nEngage in activities to close accounts.\nWill have a book of business to maintain touch with the market.\nRelationship Management\nWork with key internal stakeholders to develop and maintain product-specific business development plans identifying, segmenting, detailing and evaluating potential broker and agent prospects, and executing such plan to ensure that Amynta generates targeted levels of growth and ‘hit’ ratios in this market.\nLead in the education of the broker market on the products in a way that creates a need to buy, highlights our competitive differentiation, illustrate the need for service led products to grow the brand and facilitate the placement of new business with Beazley with a particular focus on new relationships.\nRaise the profile of Amynta Dealer Solutions within the broker community through education, articles and coverage discussions.\nUnderwriting Strategy Development\nDevelop strategies and business plans to support a profitable book of business.\nMonitor premiums, costs and claims ratios per contract and recommend corrective measures to ensure long term profitability.\nEvaluate underwriter capabilities and set authority levels as appropriate.\nComply with underwriting control standards for business written through delegated authority.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nEngage with all levels of leadership to solve problems\nAssist in development of internal and external materials\nSupport business unit leadership with presentations and special projects as Centers of Expertise.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree or 5-7+ years of production underwriting experience or equivalent work experience.\nKnowledge of underwriting philosophy, processes, and practice\nExtensive experience in the insurance industry ideally within an underwriting, broking, relationship management or sales role\nStrong analytical skills and critical thinking skills with great attention to details\nIndividually accountable\nEffective relationship management skills with customer focused approach\nAbility to develop tactical underwriting plan and execute on its implementation\nActive listening and emotional intelligence\nAbility to work independently for significant periods of time\nStrong business development and communication skills\nProficient with MS Office including Excel skills\nAble to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing\nAbility to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize to meet sales target\nProperty & Casualty Agent’s license in residing state, or willingness to obtain\nCPCU, AU-M, CIC designations a plus\nWillingness & ability to travel for agency visits, industry functions, training and seminars.\nContinuing education to maintain necessary credentials\nProblem solving focused, strong character, self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic.\nThe Amynta Group (the “ Company ”) is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of any ground of discrimination protected by applicable human rights legislation.
