The successful candidate will assist with physical equipment surveys, asset inventory management, sensor installation, and technical documentation.\nThis position is well suited for an early-career IT technician, engineering technician, or individual with experience supporting network equipment, industrial systems, or technical field operations.\nResponsibilities\nAssist Network Engineers and senior technical personnel with the physical installation, connection, configuration, and testing of OT network monitoring sensors and associated equipment.\nConduct on-site surveys of operational technology assets located in chiller plants, electrical substations, data centers, mechanical rooms, and other facility environments.\nIdentify and document industrial control system components, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), network switches, controllers, and related devices.\nCollect and accurately record equipment information, including manufacturer, model number, serial number, IP address, firmware version, and physical location.\nEnter and maintain asset inventory information in spreadsheets, databases, and OT asset management platforms, including Tenable OT.\nAssist with basic software and firmware updates to monitoring sensors and related equipment under the direction of senior technical personnel.\nVerify equipment inventories by comparing physical assets against existing documentation, network records, and asset databases.\nAssist with network cabling, equipment connections, sensor placement, and installation readiness activities.\nSupport the development and maintenance of technical documentation, equipment inventories, installation records, and engineering deliverables.\nConduct basic technical research to identify equipment specifications, manufacturer information, and the functionality of legacy OT components.\nIdentify and report discrepancies, missing information, equipment issues, and potential installation constraints to the technical team.\nCoordinate with engineering personnel and government representatives to support scheduled site surveys and installation activities.\nFollow established safety, cybersecurity, facility access, and configuration management procedures while working in operational environments.\nQualifications\nQualifications - Required\nActive TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph accepted by the customer.\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nBasic knowledge of computer hardware, networking equipment, or electronic systems.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Excel and other common computer applications used for technical documentation and data entry.\nAbility to accurately identify, record, and organize detailed technical information.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow established technical procedures.\nAbility to use basic hand tools and assist with the physical installation of network or electronic equipment.\nAbility to conduct research using technical manuals, manufacturer documentation, and other available reference materials.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively within a technical team.\nWillingness to work in mechanical rooms, electrical equipment areas, data centers, and other operational facility environments.\nQualifications - Preferred\nAssociate Degree or technical certificate in Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Electronics, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.\nOne or more years of experience in IT support, network installation, electronics, industrial controls, or technical field services.\nFamiliarity with Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or building automation systems.\nBasic understanding of TCP/IP networking, Ethernet connections, switches, and network cabling.\nExperience performing equipment inventories, site surveys, or technical asset documentation.\nExposure to industrial networking equipment, PLCs, HMIs, or supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.\nFamiliarity with Tenable OT or other network monitoring and asset discovery tools.\nCompTIA A+, Network+, or similar entry-level technical certification.\nBenefits include:\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Plans (PPO & HSA options available)\nFlexible Spending Accounts (Health Care & Dependent Care FSA)\nHealth Savings Account (HSA)\n401(k) with matching contributions\nRoth\nQualified Transportation Expense with matching contributions\nShort Term Disability\nLong Term Disability\nLife and Accidental Death & Dismemberment\nBasic & Voluntary Life Insurance\nWellness Program\nPTO\n11 Holidays\nProfessional Development Reimbursement\nPlease contact  with any questions!\nAmyx is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
