ANA is growing and scaling, and we are seeking a Senior Software Manager in an onsite position in Henderson, Nevada.In this role, you will lead the software development team day to day, while partnering with the Director of Software Development, stakeholders, Product Management, and the R&D team to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions in an agile environment.\nThe position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. This role reports to the Director of Software Development.\nRole & Responsibilities:\nStakeholder Collaboration & Agile Delivery:\nLead the software development team day to day, running sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives to keep delivery on track.\nWork with the Director of Software Development and software team to define software tasking and delivery schedule.\nWork with Director of Software Development and software team to translate business and product needs into clear technical requirements and actionable sprint deliverables for the team.\nCommunicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to the Director of Software Development, stakeholders, and leadership.\nMentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and support.\nSoftware Team leadership and Collaboration:\nChampion and prioritize Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) as the team's primary way of working.\nWork with external development partners to co-ordinate delivery and integration of fleet manager software.\nWork with QA/DevOps, software test engineer and the software team to implement CI/CD and software test best practices, in particular End-to-End testing.\nParticipate in code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and adherence to architectural standards.\nWork with the team to ensure seamless integration between cloud services, telematics data, and edge/embedded devices.\nDocumentation and Compliance:\nWork with team to create and maintain technical documentation for software designs, algorithms, and test procedures.\nWork with team to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in embedded software development.\nContinuous Improvement:\nStay current with emerging technologies and trends in embedded systems and controls engineering.\nDrive continuous improvement of software development processes, tools, and Agile practices.\nTimesheet Management & Approvals:\nReview, verify, and approve employee timesheets, sick time, paid time off (PTO), and floating holiday requests in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company policies, payroll schedules, and applicable labor regulations.\nEvaluate and manage time-off approvals with consideration for maintaining appropriate staffing levels to support operational needs and quality output.\nResolve discrepancies, address timekeeping issues, and coordinate with payroll as needed to ensure accurate and timely pay processing.\nPerformance Documentation & Support:\nActively manage employee performance by maintaining ongoing documentation related to skills, performance trends, development progress, and compliance.\nConduct regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings to provide coaching, feedback, and goal alignment.\nUtilize documented insights to support annual performance reviews, performance management processes, succession planning, and informed management decision-making, including identifying high-potential talent and workforce readiness.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
