# Full - Stack Engineer

We want a hands-on full-stack engineer whose main strength is the backend. You will design and build distributed, event-driven systems for underwriting, claims, and policy workflows, and integrate AI and agentic capabilities into production. You will also contribute to the React frontend when a feature needs it end to end. Responsibilities: Backend architecture and systems (core, about 80%): Design and build scalable, distributed, event-driven services using Java or Kotlin and Kafka. Apply patterns such as Event Sourcing, CQRS, Domain-Driven Design, and Hexagonal (Ports & Adapters) architecture. Make sound decisions on consistency models, concurrency, transactional boundaries, and fault tolerance. Model complex insurance domains (underwriting, claims, policy lifecycle) as clean bounded contexts. Design for auditability, traceability, versioning, and regulatory compliance. AI and agentic integration Integrate LLM-driven components into event-driven backends, with deterministic safeguards.
