The Equipment Engineering team consists of multiple functional areas within the operations of the wafer fab including Photolithography, Diffusion, Implant, Epitaxy, Dry Etch, Wet Etch, and Thin Films. In one of these groups you’ll have the opportunity to working on highly impactful projects that will make a meaningful difference to ADI.\nTypical Responsibilities include:\nTroubleshooting process equipment failures\nOptimizing equipment to match process performance across tools and maximize output.\nQualifying new equipment, new raw materials, and new consumable parts\nDeveloping and monitoring process and equipment measurements to improve quality\nDesigning, prototyping, and deploying equipment upgrades\nRoot cause investigation of discrepant material and implementation of yield improvement programs\nDeveloping improvements to manufacturing processes and modifications to production process flows to improve yield, quality, cost, and cycle time\nAnalyzing cycle time and equipment availability/utilization metrics\nWriting operating and equipment maintenance specifications\nPartnering with manufacturing operations to continuously improve factory performance\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or related field of study.\n Preferred Qualifications\nExperience with maintaining and upgrading processing or laboratory equipment\nExperience with robotics, motors, PCB troubleshooting and/or design, vacuum systems, pneumatic systems, PLC programming\nDemonstrated history of strong mechanical aptitude\nSuperb computer and math skills, including statistics\nProficient with Visual Basic, Python, Java or similar programming language \nAble to communicate with audience at any technical level\nDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to productively engage with individuals from a range of backgrounds.\nAdaptable, detail-oriented, practical thinker, and problem solver who is a quick learner\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously \nSelf-starter with a strong worth ethic who will thrive in a dynamic 24/7 operation\nFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
