The ideal candidate must have 5+ years’ experience in managing Linux environment in large enterprise with 2+ years hands-on experience in work load management tools like LSF/ Slurm. This role requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nLinux & HPC System Administration\nInstall, configure, maintain, and upgrade Linux OS & applications (Red Hat and Ubuntu) across large bare-metal and virtual environment\nInstall, configure, monitor and optimize HPC clusters to maximize cluster utilization\nPerform system monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.\nManage enterprise identity services and access controls.\nInfrastructure & Platform Support\nSupport physical, virtual, and AWS-based Linux environments used for semiconductor design.\nManage core infrastructure services such as DNS, LDAP, NFS, and web/application servers.\nEnsure system reliability, availability, and security.\nSecurity & Compliance\nImplement security best practices, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.\nSupport audits, compliance activities, firewall management, and access reviews.\nIncident Management & Operations\nMonitor infrastructure health and respond to system issues and outages.\nDiagnose and resolve batch scheduler workload anomalies, failed jobs, resource issues \nPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.\nMaintain operational documentation and procedures.\nAutomation & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop tools and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency for the infrastructure , especially for HPC environment\nSupport infrastructure automation, configuration management, and DevOps initiatives.\nCollaboration & Support\nWork closely with engineering, network, security, cloud, and HPC development teams.\nProvide technical support and knowledge sharing across the IT organization.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.\n5+ years of Linux system administration experience in an EDA/HPC environment\n2+ years of experience in administering HPC management tools\nExperience managing enterprise Linux environments, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu.\nExperienced in supporting virtualized environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.\nProficiency in scripting (shell/ python) and advanced Linux command-line administration.\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSH, and NTP.\nExperience with configuring monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS\nFamiliarity with NetApp storage\nExperience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.\nKnowledge of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.\nUnderstanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.\nAdvanced certifications in RedHat , AWS etc. are a plus.\nSoft Skills\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nEffective communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nCustomer-focused mindset.\nExperience with project management and using AI tools to improve productivity is a plus.\nFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
