As a Field Applications Engineer, you are the bridge between product development groups and top automotive customers in EMEA. In your role you will have a strong focus on our OEM engagementswith the primary goal winning new platform business through proactive technical support that will solve customer challenges.\nThis requires a profound knowledge of the customer development process: you need to be familiar with all the aspects of the product’s lifestyle, from development to mass production.\nIn this role you would be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology proposal and evaluation stage (e.g. early engagement) with the engineering teams working in conjunction with the account teams as the key technical advisor and system advocate for a wide range of commercial and passenger vehicle applications.\nThe Automotive FAE must be able to identify customer platform system requirements and work closely internally with Analog Devices Business Units. You will take ownership to drive the resolution of all technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.\nAs Automotive FAE you must be able to build trust and establish and maintain strong relationships within the Automotive Ecosystem including OEMs and Tier1s.\nYour tasks\nDevelop and maintain expert knowledge level for wide range of vehicle systems and sub system applications across multiple OEMs\nListen, understand and convey customers early requirements with a strong focus on System Design identifying customer's needs and translating them into specifications and/or design ideas for our automotive Business Units\nPrepare Proof of Concept (PoC) demos demonstrating to the customer the value added by ADI’s solutions\nHelp the customer to solve complex problems integrating Analog Devices solutions into customer systems\nPerform customer’s schematic and layout review in collaboration with Business Units\nGenerate high-quality documentation such as technical presentation, application notes and meeting notes\nMaintain professional business relationships with experts at several customers in close cooperation with Global and Key Account Managers\nPerform on-site visits to provide customer service and sales support\nQualifications and Skills required\nBSc/BEng/MSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering\nWork experience >10 years in engineering with semiconductor and/or automotive industries\nExcellent understanding of automotive high voltage systems and EV architectures with a focus on Battery Management Systems including powertrain and DCDCs.\nA solid understanding of automotive power (W … kW) and analog semiconductor applications\nStrong project management skills and experience working in a global team\nExcellent communication, problem-solving and team collaboration skills\nSelf-motivated and able to work independently\nCurious nature and willingness to challenge the status quo\nAvailable for travel 50%\nDriver license required\nLanguages: German and English (min.
