We enable our customers to interpret the world around us by intelligently bridging the physical and digital worlds with unmatched technologies that sense, measure and connect.\nWe are looking for a Senior Engineer, Software Tools, to join our Software and Digital Platforms Group in Cork, Ireland, working onDatacenters & Energy products.\nAbout the Role\nAs Senior Engineer, Tools Software, you will contribute to the development of Graphical Tools software for Analog Devices' Datacenters & Energy business unit. You'll have a senior role in designing, developing, and maintaining intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces for software applications that allow our customers to configure and evaluate our Datacenters and Energy devices. This role involves close collaboration with product managers, digital design engineers, and embedded software engineers to translate requirements and design concepts into functional, high-quality interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.\nYou will be part of a fast growing, world-class engineering team working to deliver software solutions that improve datacentre resilience and advance power management innovation. You will be a strong team player with excellent communications and technical skills.\nResponsibilities include, but not limited to:\nExecute full software development life cycle (SDLC)\nGather, analyse and prepare software requirements\nDesign and implement graphical user interfaces based on requirements and design guidelines.\nEnsure high performance, scalability, and reliability of the UI.\nCollaborate, communicate and resolve technical issues or concepts with other engineers\nParticipate in sprint planning, design reviews, and code reviews.\nMaintain documentation for UI components, styles, and interaction patterns.\nConduct UI testing, including usability testing, cross-platform testing, and performance tuning. Implement automated UI tests where applicable.\nMinimum candidate requirements:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.\nMinimum 5 years experience in UI software development.\nStrong proficiency in GUI development using tools or frameworks such as WPF, WinUI, or similar.\nRelevant programming experience in C/C++ and C#.\nSolid understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and user-centered design.\nProficiency in version control systems\nExperience with automated UI testing frameworks.\nDesirable additional skills and experience:\nPython programming experience\nEmbedded software development experience\nAI/ML experience\nFamiliarity in the following:Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and with the different software development methodologies, e.g. Agile, Waterfall, V-model\nCoding standards and guidelines\n\nKey Competencies\nStrong visual and technical design intuition\nAbility to adapt to changing requirements\nCreative, innovative and highly technical\nHighly flexible, committed, dependable and effective communicator\nWorks with minimum supervision\nAdditional Information\n· Travel: Up to 10%.\n· Location: Cork, Ireland.\n· Reports to: Manager, Datacentre & Energy Software.\nFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
