You will combine hands-on laboratoryexpertisewith strong software development, test automation, data analysis, and technical leadership skills to deliver robust, repeatable, and high-quality evaluation solutions.\nYou will work closely with design, verification, applications, systems, software, and product engineering teams toidentifytechnical risks, resolve complex issues, and ensure that silicon and supporting platforms meet product and system requirements. As aSeniorEngineer, you will provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive improvements in evaluation methodologies, tools, and laboratory practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nExecutecomprehensive evaluation strategies, test plans, coverage goals, methodologies, and release criteria for FPGA prototypes and automotive networking ASICs.\n\nTranslate product, architecture, and system requirements into measurable laboratory tests, including functional, performance, interoperability, robustness, and corner-case evaluation.\n\nDevelop modular, maintainable test and automation software in C and Python, including instrument control, data acquisition, regression execution, result processing, and report generation.\n\nExecute and analyse complex silicon and FPGA test cases; debug failures across hardware, firmware, software, interfaces, and system boundaries.\n\nPerform electrical and functional measurements using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, protocol analysers, signal generators, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment.\n\nLead structured root-cause investigations, clearly document findings, and work with cross-functional teams to drive issues to resolution.\n\nEvaluate automotive Ethernet and related networking functionality, including link behaviour, data-path performance, timing, error handling, diagnostics, and interoperability.\n\nDevelop system-level hardware, embedded software, scripts, user guides, application examples, test procedures, and technical reports that enable internal and external product evaluation.\n\nReview evaluation results,identifycoverage gaps and technical risks, and communicate evidence-based recommendations to engineering and programme stakeholders.\n\nRequired Qualifications and Experience\nBachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.\n\nFouror more years of relevant experience in design evaluation, silicon validation, product engineering, systems engineering, or a comparable role.\n\nDemonstrated experience evaluating FPGA prototypes and performing bench validation or characterisation of ASICs.\n\nStrongproficiencyin C and Python, with experience developing reliable test, automation, or embedded software.\n\nKnowledge of embedded systems, digital hardware, laboratory measurement techniques, and hardware/software integration.\n\nProven ability to diagnose complex problems using structured debugging, critical thinking, root-cause analysis, and evidence-based decision-making.\n\nExperience capturing, processing, interpreting, and presenting technical data, with a strong focus on accuracy, repeatability, and traceability.\n\nWorking knowledge of Ethernet and networking concepts, together withexperienceusingserial interfaces such as SPI, I²C, and UART.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical reports and present complex findings to varied audiences.\n\nDemonstrated collaboration, ownership, and the ability to influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.\n\nPreferred Qualifications and Experience\nFamiliarity with automotive networking architectures, zonal systems, software-defined vehicles, and relevant industry standards.\n\nExperience with Ethernet protocol analysis, network traffic generation, performance measurement, interoperability testing, or fault injection.\n\nExperience developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers and integrating host-side software with evaluation hardware.\n\nExperience with audio and video interfaces or data paths, including PDM and RGB8.\n\nFamiliarity with source control, continuous integration, automated regression frameworks, requirements traceability, and issue-tracking systems.\n\nFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
