Staff Customer System Measurement Engineer - ATE
Role Overview
The Industrial ATE Product Development Team in Munich is seeking an experienced Customer System Measurement Engineer to strengthen engagement with strategic ATE customers and help understand current and future platform measurement challenges.
This role serves as a vital link between ADI’s product development teams and our customers’ end-application development organisations, fostering the exchange of technical insight and measurement requirements to drive innovation and mutual success.
Embedded within the ATE Product Development Measurement organisation, the role combines measurement knowledge and expertise with direct customer engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with ADI’s strategic ATE customers in Germany to understand evolving platform architectures and measurement challenges, while partnering with internal development teams to shape evaluation methodologies, influence product development, and deliver measurement solutions aligned with emerging customer needs.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, fast-learning individual with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills. The role provides a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of customer engineering, product development and ATE platform innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary technical interface between ADI and assigned strategic ATE customers, driving technical engagement around measurement challenges. Frequent short notice travel and/or short-term co-location with the customer are required.
- Build trusted relationships with customer architecture, system, and platform evaluation teams to understand current and future platform measurement challenges.
- Contribute to the development of evaluation and diagnostic solutions, measurement systems, test fixtures and technical procedures to support customer engagements, product development activities and technology adoption.
- Contribute as a motivated, resourceful team player who is willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
ATE Measurement Expertise
- Work with the ATE Product development team and the customer to develop a deep understanding ATE architectures, products and measurement methodologies.
- Provide measurement leadership on topics including:
- Pin Electronics
- Device Power Supplies
- Precision Source and Parametric Measure Units
- High-Speed Digital Test
- Drive successful evaluation and adoption of new ADI technologies within strategic customer platforms.
System Evaluation & Technical Leadership
- Support development and validation activities for new ATE products for the product development team and for the customer.
- Assist in characterization, correlation and system-level performance measurements where customer insights add value.
- Develop technical collateral, physical solutions, reference systems and demonstration platforms that accelerate customer understanding and adoption of new technologies.
Knowledge Sharing & Technical Influence
- Deliver technical training and workshops for customers and internal teams.
- Monitor emerging ATE platform trends, competitive technologies and measurement methodologies to provide recommendations that influence ADI product and measurement strategy.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, such as Electronics Engineering or System Engineering.
- 7+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience.
- Experience in one or more of:
- Measurement Development
- ATE Architecture
- Customer facing engagements
- Product diagnostics and analysis
- Strong Familiarity with measurement instrumentation, PCB development and system-level debugging including demonstrated ability to understand schematics, layouts and measurement plans.
- Desirable to have experience with precision analog and mixed-signal circuits particularly in precision measurement.
- Desirable to have experience engaging directly with customers, internal stakeholders, or cross-functional design, product engineering, evaluation and test development engineering teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively across customer and development organisations.
- Willingness to travel and where necessary co-locate for extended periods at customer sites, approximately 25-50%.
