Learn more at www.analog.com and on LinkedIn and X.\nPosition Overview\nADI Technology, Product, & Operations is seeking an experienced Staff Digital IC Design Engineer with deep expertise in microprocessor and microcontroller design to lead the design and development of high-performance MCU/DSP/NPU products for physical intelligence applications.\nResponsibilities\nDefine and develop system-level architectures for complex digital designs.\nLead RTL digital design for complex blocks and subsystems. Drive key micro-architecture decisions, balancing performance, power and area.\nDocument detailed block and subsystem-level design specifications and implementation results.\nWork together with verification team for verification planning, waveform debug, regression, troubleshooting, coverage sign-off.\nParticipate in digital implementation jobs such as Lint, CDC, constraints, synthesis, formal verification, ECO, timing and power closure.\nSupport silicon bring-up, characterization, and debug activities.\nGuide methodology improvements and best practices across the organization.\nApply AI tools/techniques to enhance design automation, optimization, and modeling workflows\nContinuing to improve analog design/verification methodologies consistent with the group’s wider business objectives to reduce time and cost to market\nQualifications\nM.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years, or Ph.D. with a minimum of 5 years, of digital IC / SoC design experience.\nStrong hands-on expertise in RTL design, digital architecture, and SoC integration.\nSolid understanding of block-level and system-level verification methodologies and flows.\nFamiliarity with EDA flows (synthesis, STA, verification) and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Perl.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate with cross-functional stakeholders.\nSelf-driven, resilient, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to independently lead the design and development of circuit blocks or complete systems, driving projects from architecture and design through silicon validation and product debug\nKnowledge of computer architecture, digital signal processing, CPU/DSP/NPU is a plus.\nExperience or awareness of AI-assisted tools to improve design productivity is a plus.\nFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
