We enable our customers to interpret the world around us by intelligently bridging the physical and digital worlds with unmatched technologies that sense, measure and connect.\nWe are looking for a Staff Engineer, Embedded Software Verification, to join our Software & Digital Platforms Group (SDP) in Valencia, Spain, working on intelligent power management products for datacenters.\nAbout the Role\nAs Staff Engineer, Embedded Software Verification, you will build and lead verification efforts for software developed for Datacenter and Energy products, including firmware, APIs, tools and services. You will develop comprehensive verification strategies, drive test automation, and work closely with cross-functional and geo-distributed teams to ensure the quality and reliability of software releases for cutting-edge embedded systems that drive next-generation intelligent power management for datacenters.\nThis is a hands-on role where you will partner with stakeholders to understand product requirements, incorporate testability into software designs, and communicate test status, risks, and results clearly to drive timely, high-quality releases.\nResponsibilities include, but not limited to:\nInteract with stakeholders and understand product requirements.\nDevelop comprehensive test strategies and plans, aligning with project goals.\nDefine the scope, objectives, resources, and schedule for testing activities.\nWork with software architects to incorporate testability into the software products.\nWork with board design / system teams to define test platforms for the product.\nIdentify opportunities for test automation and implement appropriate tools and frameworks.\nExecute tests and analyze results to identify defects and issues.\nCheck quality of software releases and verify/sign-off against acceptance criteria.\nPrepare and present test reports, summarizing test results, findings, and recommendations.\nProvide feedback to developers on identified issues and areas for improvement.\nCommunicate test status and progress to stakeholders.\nPromote and implement software industry best practices and tools.\nLead and mentor the test team, providing guidance and support to junior testers.\nEnsure the quality and reliability of software releases through rigorous verification processes.\nMinimum candidate requirements:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.\n8+ years of industry experience in embedded systems or software testing.\n5+ years experience in test architecture and design definition.\n5+ years hands on experience in developing test code for software systems using Python and PyTest.\nHands on experience with CI/CD tool environments such as Jenkins/Github Actions.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nWorking knowledge of signal processing concepts such as Filters, Fast Fourier Transforms, Harmonic Distortion, etc.\n\nDesirable additional skills and experience:\nFamiliarity with electronic power control systems.\nProficient with project management related tools such as MS Project, Jama, Jira and Confluence.\nExperience in software development with C/C++.\nExperience with Agile workflows such as Scrum or Kanban.\nFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
