As our products move from idea to things people actually use every day, we need someone who can own that experience end to end.\nWhat you'll be working on\nDesigning, building, and maintaining Android applications across a range of devices\n\nWorking closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define and ship new features\n\nKeeping performance, quality, and responsiveness high across the board\n\nFinding and fixing bugs, performance issues, and other app problems before they become real ones\n\nOptimizing for speed and scalability\n\nBringing in new tools and technologies when they genuinely make development better\n\nHelping shape the architecture of new features and services, not just implementing them\n\nWriting clean, maintainable, efficient code\n\nTaking part in code reviews and helping raise the bar for the whole team\n\nWhat makes this role different\nEngineering here is flat: no layers between you and the decision, no waiting on a chain of approvals to ship something good. You'll work in person in Abu Dhabi, alongside a small, genuinely international team, often a short walk from robots that are actually deployed and being tested. What you build will be felt immediately, by real users, on real products.\nSkills we need\nA bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience\n\nProven Android development experience with real apps live on the Google Play Store\n\nStrong Kotlin and/or Java\n\nDeep familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and the platform itself\n\nComfort working with RESTful APIs to connect apps to backend services\n\nExperience integrating third-party libraries and APIs\n\nA solid sense of UI/UX and Android's own design guidelines\n\nStrong debugging and troubleshooting instincts\n\nGit and modern version control workflows\n\nExperience with testing frameworks like Espresso or JUnit\n\nComfort working in an Agile environment\n\nWhat we're not looking for\nThis isn't a role for someone who wants a spec handed to them and nothing more, or who'd rather manage the work than build it.
