Platform Development\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Databricks and/or cloud-native services.\n\nBuild and optimize ETL/ELT workflows that support operational reporting, analytics, machine learning, and data-sharing initiatives.\n\nDevelop and maintain medallion architecture patterns (Bronze, Silver, Gold) within Databricks Lakehouse environments.\n\nImplement data integration solutions across multiple structured and unstructured healthcare data sources.\n\nDesign reusable frameworks, templates, and accelerators that improve engineering productivity and consistency.\n\nData Operations (DataOps)\nEstablish and maintain DataOps processes that support reliable, automated, and observable data pipelines.\n\nMonitor pipeline health, performance, data quality, and operational SLAs.\n\nImplement automated testing, deployment, version control, and CI/CD practices for data products.\n\nDevelop proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve production data issues while minimizing operational impact.\n\nHealthcare & Regulatory Compliance\nEnsure solutions comply with CMS, federal, and healthcare-specific security, privacy, and data governance requirements.\n\nSupport environments containing protected health information (PHI), personally identifiable information (PII), and other sensitive healthcare datasets.\n\nImplement auditability, lineage, metadata management, and data quality controls.\n\nPartner with governance and security teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards and policies.\n\nArchitecture & Technical Leadership\nCollaborate with solution architects and customer stakeholders to define data platform strategy and implementation roadmaps.\n\nLead technical design reviews and contribute to enterprise data architecture decisions.\n\nOptimize data storage, processing performance, and cost management within cloud environments.\n\nMentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperience\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.\n\n8+ years of data engineering experience, including large-scale enterprise data environments.\n\n3+ years supporting CMS or other federal healthcare programs.\n\nExperience operating and supporting production-grade data platforms in regulated environments.\n\nDemonstrated experience with DataOps and modern data engineering practices.\n\nTechnical Skills\nExpert-level experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform.\n\nStrong proficiency with Apache Spark, PySpark, SQL, and Python.\n\nExperience designing and maintaining operational data pipelines at enterprise scale.\n\nHands-on experience with cloud data platforms in AWS or Azure cloud environments.\n\nExperience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git-based development workflows.\n\nExpertise in data quality, observability, lineage, metadata management, and monitoring frameworks.\n\nExperience with orchestration and workflow management tools.\n\nStrong knowledge of lakehouse, warehouse, and modern data architecture patterns.\n\nRegulatory & Healthcare Knowledge\nExperience supporting CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, or other federal healthcare data programs.\n\nUnderstanding of healthcare data governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.\n\nExperience working with healthcare data standards and regulated datasets.\n\nFamiliarity with Federal Information Security requirements and operational controls.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nDatabricks Certified Data Engineer Professional\n\nAdditional Databricks certifications.\n\nExperience supporting cloud-native analytics platforms for CMS.\n\nExperience implementing Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and advanced Databricks governance capabilities.\n\nFamiliarity with machine learning operations (MLOps) and AI/ML data pipelines.\n\nExperience with Collibra, Informatica, Unity Catalog or comparable data governance platforms.\n\nExperience supporting FedRAMP or FISMA-compliant environments.\n\nPrior experience leading technical teams or serving as a technical lead.\n\nDesired Competencies:\nDeep technical expertise in modern data engineering and DataOps
