We're looking for ambitious, recent graduates ready to gain real-world experience in a fast-moving technology business.\nPurpose of the Role\nThe Accounts Assistant Intern will support ABC's finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliation and financial record-keeping, gaining hands-on exposure to finance operations within a SaaS and digital payments business.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess and record invoices, receipts and expenses\nSupport bank and mobile money reconciliation\nSupport payment gateway transaction reconciliation\nTrack customer payments and outstanding invoices\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial records\nSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable functions\nAssist in preparing financial reports and summaries\nSupport subscription and recurring revenue tracking\nMaintain proper accounting documentation and filing\nUse accounting software and digital business systems\nEducation Requirements\nRecently completed a degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field from a recognised university or tertiary institution\nPrevious full-time employment is not required; relevant academic projects, internships or volunteering are an advantage\nTechnical Skills\nBasic understanding of accounting principles\nComfortable with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets\nExposure to accounting software (e.g. ZOHO Books, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Sage) is an advantage but not required\nGeneral digital literacy and comfort learning new systems\nRequirements\nSoft Skills & Competencies\nStrong attention to detail\nIntegrity and accountability\nGood communication skills\nWillingness to learn\nAbility to meet deadlines\nProblem-solving mindset\nTeam player\nWhat the Intern Will Learn\nHow finance operations run inside a SaaS and digital payments business\nReconciliation processes for bank, mobile money and payment gateway transactions\nSubscription and recurring revenue accounting\nReal-world use of accounting and business systems\nHow finance supports broader business decision-making\n3-Month Performance Expectations\nConfidently process invoices, receipts and expenses with minimal supervision\nAccurately complete assigned reconciliation\nMaintain organised, error-free financial records\nMeet reporting deadlines consistently\nDemonstrate growing familiarity with ABC's accounting systems\nWhat Success Looks Like After 3 Months\nReconciliation completed accurately and on time, with minimal errors\nFinancial records are complete, organised and audit-ready\nOutstanding invoices are tracked and followed up proactively\nReports are submitted on schedule and require minimal correction\nDemonstrates growing independence and ownership of assigned tasks\nBenefits\nPotential Career Path\nStrong performers may progress toward roles such as Accounts Assistant, Junior Accountant, or Finance Officer within ABC.\nCareer Opportunity: This is a three-month graduate internship.
