Because we were established for the purpose of public service and not for profit, we measure our success in the impact of our service.\nPosition Summary\nANSER is seeking an Expert Systems Architect to lead the design and development of enterprise-scale solution architectures supporting complex applications, APIs, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services across the GEOINT enterprise. You will provide technical leadership in aligning solution architectures with enterprise architecture standards, mission requirements, and strategic objectives within the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG) environments. You will guide architecture development efforts across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises systems while ensuring traceability to enterprise frameworks and governance standards. You will serve as a senior technical authority overseeing architecture teams and shaping enterprise-wide architectural decisions.\nDay-to-Day Responsibilities\nLead and oversee Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level Systems Architect personnel supporting enterprise architecture initiatives.Direct the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures aligned to enterprise architecture and mission requirements.\nEnsure architecture artifacts maintain traceability to enterprise architecture frameworks and governance standards.\nAnalyze user requirements, system capabilities, workflows, and operational constraints to improve system design and performance.\nEvaluate and guide modernization of existing systems, applications, and infrastructure services.\nDevelop and oversee solution architecture designs across applications, APIs, data services, platform services, and cloud environments.\nRecommend architectural changes based on requirements analysis, emerging technologies, and mission needs.\nEnsure alignment of architecture development with DoDAF and IC Program Architecture Guidance (PAG) standards.\nGuide integration of enterprise architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.\nLead technical assessments supporting trade studies and architecture decision-making.\nAdvise Government stakeholders on architecture strategy, modernization, and enterprise alignment.\nSupport alignment of enterprise architecture with mission CONOPS and strategic objectives.\nCoordinate architecture activities across multiple programs and mission stakeholders.\nProvide technical oversight for architecture documentation and lifecycle governance.\n• Mentor and guide senior, mid, and junior architecture staff across enterprise programs.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully pass a polygraph.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM field. Equivalent additional experience may be substituted for degree requirements.\n18+ years of experience in government or industry supporting Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, DoDAF, or IC Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).\nPrevious NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience.\nPrevious Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) program or project experience.\nExperience developing and maintaining enterprise or solution architectures in complex mission environments.\nStrong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and governance processes.\nExperience supporting cloud, hybrid, and on-premises enterprise architecture environments.\nDemonstrated leadership experience guiding architecture teams and enterprise technical direction.\n• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related STEM discipline.Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.\nCertified Enterprise Architect credential (e.g., National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace Enterprise Architecture Certification).\nExperience applying DoDAF and IC Program Architecture Guidance (PAG) in enterprise environments.\nExperience supporting GEOINT enterprise architecture development (GEA).\nExperience conducting architecture trade studies and decision analysis at the enterprise level.\n• Familiarity with cloud-native and hybrid enterprise architecture modernization efforts.\n\nIn compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a position with ANSER, please call 703-416-2000 or e-mail \nANSER is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
