You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with client mission objectives-often across defense, homeland security, and intelligence domains.\nMost roles are based in the greater Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. area and require on-site work five days a week. Some roles may offer hybrid, but this is evaluated on a case-by-case basis based on federal agency guidance and is not typical for most positions.\nGeneral Day-to-Day Responsibilities:\nProvide expert guidance on system integration approaches, interface management, and process improvements across hybrid and cloud-based environments.\nApply systems engineering principles to support requirements analysis, solution architecture, integration strategy, validation, and testing.\nDesign and integrate systems with a strong understanding of object-oriented design and modular system architecture.\nCollaborate with engineering teams, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders to ensure secure and efficient system performance.\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues across distributed environments.\nDevelop and maintain detailed technical documentation including system architecture diagrams, interface control documents (ICDs), and standard operating procedures.\nEnsure system designs incorporate cybersecurity best practices, comply with relevant frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF), and support secure system-to-system communication.\nSupport and advise on continuous integration, automation, and DevSecOps practices.\nOther duties or task related to system integration as required.\nGeneral Required Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n3+ years of experience in system integration, systems engineering, or IT architecture-preferably supporting federal, defense, or intelligence missions.\nPractical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including understanding of cloud-native services and integration methods in a government cloud environment.\nKnowledge of object-oriented design, modular architectures, and scalable system integration.\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity best practices, secure systems design, and compliance frameworks such as NIST, RMF, or FISMA.\nExperience with systems modeling tools and process documentation (e.g., SysML, Cameo, Visio, Jira, Confluence).\nStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders through integration planning and execution.\nActive security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required depending on the position.\nIn compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a position with ANSER, please call 703-416-2000 or e-mail \nANSER is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
