If you love modern Java done properly, real ownership over your scope, working alongside strong senior peers, and solving complex problems at enterprise scale, Anaqua is looking for you!\nYou'll love this job if you like to:\nOwn services end-to-end on a modern Java + Spring Bootplatform - design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.\nDesign domain events and the integrations between services - event types, processors, idempotency, and eventual-consistency boundaries.\nExtend the shared platform libraries - auth, async tasks, common infrastructure - that every service in the company depends on.\nWrite code that is genuinely tested - strong unit, integration, and contract testing as part of the development loop, not an afterthought.\nDrive performance and reliability work, including query optimisation, debugging distributed flows, and capacity planning.\nRaise the engineering bar through code review, technical design docs, and mentoring mid-level engineers.\nWork across a modern stack: Java (latest LTS), Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Cloud GCP, Kubernetes (GKE), PostgreSQL with a domain-event model, and contract-first APIs with OpenAPI.\nWork closely with frontend engineers on the Next.js application when shipping features that cross the boundary.\nWhat you'll need to be successful:\n5+ years of senior-level Java engineering with proven production ownership - you have built and operated services that real users depend on.\nStrong Spring Boot in production - fluent on transactional boundaries, connection pools, classpath issues, JVM tuning, and how things actually break under load.\nDistributed-systems thinking - async messaging, idempotency, retries, ordering, eventual consistency, and clean bounded contexts.\nComfortable with event-sourcing design patterns\nComfort with domain-driven design - designing domain events that capture state transitions, writing event processors, and reasoning about event history alongside current state.\n[redacted]\nDeep PostgreSQL - schema design, indexing, query plans, and migrations under load.\nProduction experience running services on Kubernetes - deployments, manifests or Helm, debugging in production.\nHands-on experience with a major public cloud (GCP preferred;
