AnaVation is seeking a Cloud Developer to support Windows and Linux environments on AWS, develop and maintain scripts, and support DevOps automation. This role uses Jira and Confluence to track work and maintain technical documentation. This role will drive automation using DevSecOps best practices, guide application migration to the cloud, and ensure secure, resilient, and cost-optimized cloud solutions.\nKey responsibilities include:\nImplement automation for cloud resources following DevSecOps best practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, security scanning, etc.).\nDebug and troubleshoot cloud stacks and services across multiple environments.\nPatch and maintain Windows and Linux systems using AWS Systems Manager Patch Manager.\nManage and maintain Atlassian Suite including Jira and Confluence.\nAnalyze applications and workloads to determine cloud readiness and provide recommendations on migration, refactoring, and deployment strategies.\nAssess and recommend which platforms and applications can move, migrate, and/or be deployed into public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.\nDefine and implement strategies for failure/recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery in the cloud.\nDesign, develop, and implement cloud-native applications; migrate existing on-premises applications to cloud platforms. \nEnsure high availability and uptime by designing resilient architectures and monitoring strategies.\nThis position requires a Top-Secret clearance with the ability to be on-site in Washington DC with no remote option.\nRequired Qualifications:\nEducation: A bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline\n Required Skills/Certs:\n4+ years experience with major cloud service providers (i.e.: Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, or Google).\nExperience performing development and deployment activities on a private/public cloud solution or a comparable high availability environment.\nDeploying and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation\nImplementing and maintaining security best practices for cloud environments.\nCreating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes\nMust be able to work full-time on-site at our customer location in Washington, DC.\nActive Top Secret (TS) clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with cloud-native application design (microservices, containers, serverless).\nFamiliarity with containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and related orchestration tools.\nExperience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud environments (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver, ELK/OpenSearch).\nKnowledge of cost management tools and FinOps practices.\nRelevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud
