Support laminate definition, material selection and weight optimisation in coordination with Manufacturing and Structural Analysis.\nEngineering Drawings and Product Definition: Create and maintain DFM drawings, installation drawings, assemblies and associated technical product definition in accordance with applicable design standards, GD&T principles and company procedures.\nProduct Structure and PLM: Create and maintain engineering product structures, assemblies and Bills of Material within the PLM environment. Ensure that CAD data, drawings and associated engineering documentation are correctly structured, linked and released.\nConfiguration and Change Management: Support Engineering Change Requests and other formal design-change activities. Understand the impact of modifications on affected parts, assemblies, interfaces, documentation and product configuration, ensuring appropriate traceability throughout the change process.\nPLM Workflow and Data Management: Work within defined engineering workflows using comparable PLM systems such as Teamcenter, ENOVIA or Windchill, including data maturity, revision control, release processes and lifecycle management.\nAircraft Systems Integration: Support the mechanical integration of aircraft systems and equipment, considering installation envelopes, interfaces, routing, accessibility, environmental constraints and maintenance requirements.\nDesign for Manufacturing and Assembly: Develop designs considering manufacturing processes, assembly sequence, tolerances, inspectability, maintainability, weight and cost.\nPrototype and Production Support: Work closely with Manufacturing, Assembly and Testing during prototype build and production introduction, supporting the resolution of design and installation issues.\nCross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Systems Engineering, Structural Analysis, Aerodynamics, Avionics, Electrical, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure that mechanical designs satisfy aircraft-level requirements and interfaces.\nTechnical Documentation: Prepare and maintain engineering documentation required to support design development, design review maturity gates, manufacturing, testing and product release.\nCompliance and Certification: Perform design activities in accordance with applicable aerospace standards, certification requirements, company procedures, configuration-management requirements and product-development processes. Support certification activities by ensuring that design definition, technical documentation and design changes maintain appropriate traceability to applicable requirements and means of compliance.\nYour profile\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a related technical discipline.\nAt least 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience. Strong junior candidates with relevant aerospace design experience may also be considered.\nProfessional experience in aerospace, aircraft, helicopters, and/or UAVs or a closely related regulated engineering environment is strongly preferred.\nExperience designing structural parts, assemblies or mechanical installations, preferably for aircraft applications.\nGood practical knowledge of 3D CAD. Experience with Siemens NX or CATIA is required.\nExperience working with a PLM/PDM system, such as Teamcenter, ENOVIA or Windchill is strongly preferred.\nUnderstanding of engineering change management, revision control, product maturity, release workflows and technical-data traceability.\nUnderstanding of product structures and Bills of Material (BOM) within an engineering environment.\nKnowledge of metallic and composite aircraft structures and their typical manufacturing processes.\nKnowledge of composite materials, laminate construction and basic composite design principles.\nUnderstanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, tolerances and manufacturing definition.\nAbility to understand mechanical interfaces and integrate components within complex assemblies.\nGood analytical and technical problem-solving skills.\nAbility to communicate technical information clearly and work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nProficiency in English.
