We strive for uptime. We are looking for people with a passion for technology and a desire to learn new skills while improving their system administration talents.\nThe candidate must be comfortable dealing with everything from high-end enterprise hardware to a low-end desktop printer. Troubleshooting user desktop issues and answering user how-to questions is required. They will work closely with members of the technology and operations team to prioritize tasks to bring new systems, applications, and workstations online. Experience supporting a 24/7, multiple-shift operation is essential.\nWhat you will do...\nManagement of application software and workstations used by the operations organization.\nEnsure uptime of operations team; minimize work interruptions.\nParticipate in hardware and system capacity planning and expansion.\nParticipate in technical architecture and design discussions as a system and network expert.\nHelp maintain all systems.\nMonitor and troubleshoot issues in workflow.\nTroubleshoot and problem solve any and all IT issues.\nPlan and prioritize upgrades, deployments, configuration changes. Coordinate with the technology group and operations on anything requiring outages that will cause work interruptions.\nConfigure and deploy servers and workstations when needed.\nPerform hardware installs and cabling including upgrades and replacements.\nSetup, configure, and monitor O/S installs.\nProvide application and basic desktop support.\nProvide 24/7 support in an on-call rotation.\nMaintain and update tracking, monitoring, and management data and tools.\nWho you are...\nMust have at least 7-10 years’ Linux Sys Admin experience with knowledge/skill in the following:\nAdvanced experience in network configuration and management (Brocade knowledge a plus).\nIntermediate experience with Windows desktop administration (Windows Vista, Windows 7).\nIntermediate domain control and active directory experience.\nIntermediate experience with Mac OSX desktop support.\nIntermediate to advanced experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS); EC2, Route 53, S3, Glacier a plus.\nAdvanced experience with Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) a plus.\nLustre and/or Gluster storage experience a plus.\nPostgres database maintenance experience a plus.\nBachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, IT, etc.) is highly preferred\n**This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
