About the Company
Our client is a leading Egyptian manufacturer of LV/MV electrical panels and switchgear with in-house sheet metal fabrication, located in 10th of Ramadan City. Due to expansion, they are looking for two Mechanical Design Engineers to join their Technical Office.


Job Description

  • Design electrical panel enclosures, sheet metal parts, and mounting and support structures using SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Inventor.

  • Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, flat patterns and bills of materials (BOMs) for production release.

  • Ensure designs meet IP/IK protection ratings, ventilation and heat dissipation, and mechanical strength requirements.

  • Apply sheet metal design-for-manufacturing principles: bend allowances, K-factors, tolerances, nesting and material optimization.

  • Coordinate with the Electrical Design team to integrate component layouts, busbars and wiring space into the enclosure design.

  • Support the production floor with design clarifications and resolve fabrication issues quickly.

  • Update drawings according to client and consultant comments and engineering changes.

  • Maintain the design library, standard parts and drawing templates.

  • Contribute to cost reduction and standardization of the product range.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Design & Production or Production preferred).

  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience in electrical panels / enclosures, or in any sheet metal industry, such as HVAC equipment, home appliances, metal cabinets and furniture, elevators, generator canopies, cable trays or vehicle bodies.

  • Strong command of SolidWorks (Sheet Metal module) is a must. AutoCAD and Inventor are a plus.

  • Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes: CNC punching, laser cutting, bending, welding and powder coating.

  • Ability to produce clear, production-ready fabrication drawings and accurate BOMs.

  • Knowledge of IP/IK ratings and IEC 61439 is a strong advantage.

  • Experience with CNC/CAM nesting software (e.g. TruTops, Amada, CypCut) is a plus.

  • Good English, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

  • Residence in or near 10th of Ramadan, El Obour, El Shorouk, Belbeis or Zagazig is preferred.
