This is a full-time opportunity to grow your engineering career while contributing to both local and national environmental remediation projects. We are looking for candidates with 6 to 10+ years of experience in environmental engineering design and construction support. Project experience with geotechnical engineering evaluations related to sediments are considered a plus.\nYou’ll work on a variety of projects involving sediment remediation, stream and wetland restoration, and other in-water and upland environmental efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in site investigation, design development, and construction oversight, with opportunities to collaborate across disciplines and make a meaningful impact. Work may require travel within the northeast region, and occasionally elsewhere in the United States.\nThe successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively, show initiative and attention to detail, and possess a strong interest in environmental engineering.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport planning, design, and implementation of environmental remediation projects, including dredging, capping, stream restoration, and wetland construction.\nPrepare engineering design documents, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and calculations.\nContribute to technical reports such as sampling and analysis plans, feasibility studies, and design documentation.\nPerform environmental sampling of soil, sediment, and water sampling,\nProvide field support for site inspections and construction oversight.\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, planners, and biologists.\nParticipate in construction support activities, including reviewing contractor submittals and RFIs.\nEnsure deliverables meet Anchor QEA’s quality standards.\nTravel occasionally for fieldwork, site visits, and project meetings (primarily in Eastern NY and Western MA).\nWhat Are We Looking For?\nIdeal candidates will have the following:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Coastal, or Geotechnical Engineering.\n6-10 years of experience in environmental remediation, including investigation, design, and construction.\nExperience with sediment remediation projects (such as dredging and capping) and stream or wetland restoration projects.\nStrong technical writing and communication skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.\nWillingness to travel for field assignments and meetings.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with contaminated sediment sites and in-water remediation.\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS for site planning and design.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure in MA or NY, or on track to obtain within 1-2 years.\nWhat Can You Expect?\nA collaborative work environment where we encourage everyone to bring their authentic self.
