Overview\nWe are looking for a Senior Accountant in Malta to assist in delivering the accounting, safeguarding reconciliation and regulatory reporting requirements of Andaria, and to assist with ad-hoc UK tasks as required.\nKey Responsibilities\nPreparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and other ancillary reports;\nStaying up to date with evolving financial and regulatory reporting requirements, assessing their impact, and assisting in the implementation of changes to ensure compliant and accurate reporting;\nAssisting with the end-of-year financial reporting process, including the preparation of the Annual Report and assisting with audit queries;\nCompilation and submission of regulatory reporting to the MFSA, Central Bank of Malta and other regulators, including but not limited to BR06, FIR, CESOP and CMPSS;\nPromptly and accurately replying to queries raised by regulators on regulatory reporting submissions;\nAssisting in the automation of reporting and other data-driven projects;\nPerforming general accounting duties;\nAssisting in the preparation and/or review of daily financial operations activities, such as daily reconciliation of safeguarded client funds, review of reconciliations with banking and other partners, and management of treasury balances;\nSupporting the annual safeguarding audit;\nSupporting the preparation and/or review of all tax, VAT and payroll-related matters;\nExecuting other ad-hoc finance tasks as required, including supporting other internal functions in compiling and analysing finance data.\nSkill Set and Requirements\nFully qualified accountant with a Malta warrant or eligibility for one.\nAt least 4 years of post-qualification experience, including 2 or more years in a payments, e-money, banking or fintech environment, or in audit of such firms.\nWorking knowledge of MFSA prudential reporting for payment or e-money institutions, including own funds calculations.\nStrong IFRS knowledge and experience preparing statutory financial statements.\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience with cloud ERP systems.\nHigh attention to detail, sound judgement on when to escalate, and the ability to meet hard regulatory deadlines.\nFluent written and spoken English.\nDesirable\nExperience with card issuing, acquiring or
