Train and develop other electrical-mechanical technicians on standard work and maintenance procedures, as well as assist in development of Maintenance Excellence throughout Bayport Operations. Lead support responsibilities will be in addition to maintenance, troubleshooting, machine reliability and repairing of all production equipment in a timely manner to control downtime costs.\n_________________________________________________________________________________________________\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProvide work direction and support for assigned areas to maintenance technicians\nAttend assigned Tier meetings; being single point of contact for assigned Value Stream\nAccountability for PM’s, PdM, RCCA’s, Autonomous Maintenance (AM) support, projects and maintenance work done in assigned Value Stream\nDeployment of MEx and Autonomous Maintenance objectives, including training for associates across 3 shifts\nManage formal shift to shift hand-over program and communications.\nEfficiently operate, troubleshoot, provide installation and maintenance services to standard and special facility equipment to control downtime costs\nAbility to troubleshoot, repair or direct the maintenance of all mechanical functions, mechanical drive units, industrial hydraulics and pneumatic powers, pneumatic drills and screw guns, routers, bearing assemblies, motors, plumbing architectures, PLC’s and ladder diagrams, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and servo controllers, safety circuits which include E-stops, light curtains, floor mats, safety relays and safety switches. PC knowledge for upgrading troubleshooting and machine functions via touch screen controls\nKnowledge and use of hand tools, PdM tools and machine shop equipment, the proper use of all test equipment used to perform all multi-trade repairs of production equipment\nEvaluate equipment for any repairs/enhancements to increase reliability or upgrades and complete work as needed.\nCollaborate with support staffs (Quality, Manufacturing and Electrical Engineering, etc.) to implement solutions to increase equipment reliability, performance, and output.\nUtilize EAM for all work orders, part investigation, asset history, downtime recording and labor/cost of ownership metric reporting.\nComplete preventative maintenance and PdM tasks as scheduled, and document finished work\nContact vendors, order parts, collaborate with Planners and Buyers and keep inventory of critical replacement parts on hand for all equipment\nMachine implementation including, rigging, leveling, facilities (air, hydraulics, dust collection and safety) along with testing and modifying as needed to prepare machine for production\nFabrication and installation of all needed fixturing, guarding and any machine parts needed. This included one or more of the following: design, layout, sheet metal work, welding, machine shop work, carpentry and painting\nWork with leadership to schedule and complete requested.\nCommunicate with direct manager or supervisor on technician development.\nMaintain the schedule developed by the maintenance planner and communicate schedule adjustments as required\nCoordinate project work between the different trades\nCoach and mentor maintenance technicians on the development of needed skills\nProvide Safety Leadership by maintaining best safety practices and process adherence to ensure technician and employee safety.\nUnderstand code and license requirements\n_________________________________________________________________________________________________\nSECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nWork with Engineering to implement design changes of equipment, jigs, and fixturing for enhancement, upgrades or replacements\nWork with Engineering in early equipment procurement to ensure reliable and maintainable equipment\nAssist with Facilities Maintenance equipment/issues as needed\nWork with Engineering on new plant layouts/ moving of equipment, and additions of equipment\nWork with external contractors as needed, in both production and other related areas of the plant\nSECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES (cont’d):\nDevelop and implement new maintenance strategies\nWork with the maintenance planner and operations in developing the work schedule\nAssist with quoting work requests\nAssist in EAM data collection for maintenance metrics\nAdditional duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nDemonstrated commitment to Safety\nDemonstrated ability to lead projects to completion attaining desired results\nDemonstrated ability to lead people to common goals\nWork alone as well as in a team environment\nBe familiar with panel building and machine building practices and techniques\nStrong communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the Value Stream\nOpenness to test and implement new ideas, processes and techniques.\nStrong ability to partner and collaborate with maintenance and cross-functional team members.\nAbility to troubleshoot, resolve and/or direct problems related to PLC and electromechanical aspects of manufacturing equipment\nAbility to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems\nAbility to troubleshoot under pressure on all lines of production and be able to prioritize the repairs\nAbility to read prints including mechanical, fluid power, electrical, and building prints\nAbility to properly use testing equipment including (electrical, mechanical and fluid power)\nAble to solely support production and be self-motivated\nProficient PC skills (Microsoft Suite; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)\nPossess excellent analytical skills, data interpretation\nBroad knowledge of PLC ‘s and electrical principles\nBroad knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics\nKnowledge of plumbing, machine piping, HVAC and central dust collection\nKnowledge and use of hand, power, shop tools and equipment associated with the position\nKnowledge of safety practices such as lockout/tag-out and proper use of PPE\nTwo-year degree in electrical/mechanical technical field or equivalent\nFive year’s of experience in maintenance-related fields\nPAY RANGE:\n$34.90 - $50.60\n\nCULTURE AND BENEFITS:\nAt Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
