The incumbents of this position will manage the flow of material throughout the plant by performing daily duties.\n PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: \nWork in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies.\nHelp ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements.\nFollow all applicable procedures, Standardized Work, Control Plans, and Product Specifications.\nInterpret customer requirements based on production paperwork and CAD drawings.\nAssemble wooden products.\nAssist in identifying training needs and propose ideas to improve quality metrics.\nLearn, understand and implement Andersen Management Systems (AMS) and continuous improvement concepts.\nParticipate in defining and improving standard work.\nSupport and participate in Employee Engagement activities.\nWork to an established rate as defined by customer demand and Standardized Work.\nFollow defined clean-up times.\nEngage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning.\nOperate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools as required.\nIdentify problems; communicate issues to Work Center Leads and Supervisors.\nAssist with training co-workers.\nSupport a respectful workplace.\nPerform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.\nQUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nPossess organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nDemonstrate a sense of urgency to complete work on schedule.\nProven ability to understand and adhere to all process controls as documented (SWDs, JBAs, CPs).\nAbility to read and understand reports and a willingness to cross train on several operations.\nPossess communication, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills.\nDependability/punctuality.\nAbility to interpret drawings and dimensions.\nDemonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.\nAbility to lift up to 40 pounds, perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods.\nAbility to read a tape measure.\nShift:\nDays (Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts - 7:00am - 3:30pm)\nAfternoons (Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts - 4:00pm - 2:30am)\nSalary: Manufacturing Associate I ($24.10 - $26.00 per hour) + 6% Afternoon shift premium when applicable.\nThese areexistingpositions.\nAI is used when confirming receipt of application, notifying the candidate when the resume is being reviewed, assisting in the scheduling of interviews and to respond to candidates if they are not moving forward in the recruitment process.\nIn accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the Ontario Human Rights Code, KML Windows Inc. will provide accommodations to applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment, selection and/or assessment process.
