This position ensures the availability, security, performance, and reliability of Linux-based systems supporting critical business applications, manufacturing systems, databases, and infrastructure services. The role partners closely with application, database, network, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, highly available, and operationally efficient technology solutions through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.\nThis is a hybrid role based out of our Oak Park Heights, MN office location.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nInfrastructure Operations & Support\nAdminister, maintain, and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across physical, virtual, cloud, and hybrid environments.\n\nPerform system installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.\n\nManage user accounts, groups, permissions, access controls, file systems, storage, and operating system services.\n\nMonitor system health, logs, capacity, performance, and availability to proactively identify and resolve issues.\n\nSupport day-to-day operational activities and maintain service levels for critical business and manufacturing systems.\n\nParticipate in on-call support, incident response, outage recovery, major incident management, and root cause analysis activities.\n\nSecurity & Compliance\nImplement and maintain operating system security controls, configuration hardening standards, and access management processes.\n\nSupport vulnerability remediation, operating system patching, and compliance initiatives in accordance with enterprise standards.\n\nPartner with cybersecurity teams to reduce risk and maintain compliance across Linux platforms.\n\nAutomation & Platform Engineering\nDevelop and maintain automation solutions utilizing Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Ansible, Bash, Python, and other automation technologies.\n\nDesign and support automated workflows for server provisioning, patching, configuration management, compliance validation, and operational support activities.\n\nSupport infrastructure-as-code and configuration management practices to improve operational consistency and efficiency.\n\nUtilize Red Hat Satellite and Ansible Automation Platform to support operating system lifecycle management, patching, configuration compliance, and software deployment.\n\nPlatform Lifecycle Management\nSupport server provisioning, upgrades, migrations, decommissioning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery testing activities.\n\nMaintain technical documentation, operational procedures, build standards, change records, and troubleshooting guides.\n\nContribute to platform modernization initiatives involving cloud, container, and hybrid infrastructure technologies.\n\nContainer & Cloud Technologies\nSupport containerized and cloud-native technologies including OpenShift, Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes platforms.\n\nAssist with the deployment and support of Linux workloads running in Azure and hybrid cloud environments.\n\nCollaboration & Project Delivery\nCollaborate with application, database, infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity teams to troubleshoot complex issues and support project delivery.\n\nParticipate in technology implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and operational improvement initiatives.\n\nSupport ITIL processes including incident, problem, change, and configuration management.\n\nQualifications and Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.\n\nMinimum three (3) years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux or comparable Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment.\n\nExperience with Red Hat technologies (e.g. RPM, Yum/DNF, SELinux, firewalld, LVM, sudo, cron, Red Hat Satellite).\n\nExperience with automation and scripting technologies including Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Ansible, Bash, Python, and Git-based automation workflows.\n\nExperience supporting enterprise monitoring, backup, recovery, and virtualization platforms.\n\nUnderstanding of security best practices, patching, vulnerability remediation, access management, and least-privilege principles.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.\n\nPAY RANGE:\n$78,824.00 - $122,176.00\n\nCULTURE AND BENEFITS:\nAt Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
