The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The primary responsibility in the role is to inspect and assess the quality of welds performed by others, ensuring they meet specified standards and codes.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nInspect and evaluate the quality of welds performed on structures and materials\nEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulations\nInterpret and apply codes, standards, specifications, and procedures\nReview and interpret engineering drawings and specifications\nConduct visual inspections of welds and welding procedures\nPrepare detailed reports of inspection findings\n Prepare, witness tests, and complete associated paperwork and records through the ASME Quality Manager. \nUse nondestructive testing (NDT) methods to evaluate welds.\nMaintain professional knowledge and stay updated with industry developments through continuous learning\nInspect various materials and parts for specification and conformity related to code and non-code work as needed. Prepares and completes associated paperwork and records.\nAssists the ASME Quality Manager with code and non-code welding-related tasks as needed.\nInteracts with employees engaged in welding and testing activities to ensure continuous control over all welding processes.\nAssist in maintenance and control of NDE testing equipment, including magnetic particle testing yoke and supplies, ultrasonic testing equipment and supplies, and the PMI gun. \nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nCertified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required\n3-7 years of experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred\nProven work experience as a Welding Inspector or similar role\nExtensive knowledge of welding processes and industry standards\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nThe company fosters a manufacturing-type environment.
