Gray Inc. is a family-owned, fully integrated industrial design-builder based in Lexington, KY.\nThe wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Our team members overseas are offered private health insurance, life insurance, and an employee assistance program (EAP).\nVisa Sponsorship: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nPRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:\nCommunicate with customers and suppliers regarding product quality issues; develop and document Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions. Facilitate development of procedures and processes, facilitate customer SCAR’s and CAPA’s, and develop improvement plans based on data collected. Provide statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.\nMAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:\nLead QA efforts in customer-facing issues and projects.\nPerform supplier audits in accordance with QMS.\nExecute improvement plans based on customer surveys and SCAR/CAPA\nWork with internal teams to drive operational improvements. \nCollaborate with team members in writing process work instructions.\nAssist in managing the calibration program.\nFollow all company safety protocols.\nMonitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential defects as early as possible.\nInspect product materials and electrical systems for defects and durability.\nIdentify the root cause of technical issues and recommend fixes.\nPrepare reports on malfunctions and corrective actions (e.g., number of defective raw materials per order)\nSet and track quality assurance goals (e.g., reduce average turnaround time for quality checks by 20%)\nCoordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure compliance.\nWork with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:\nPrevious work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role\nHands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)\nGood understanding of technical writing and documentation\nGood interpersonal skills\nFamiliarity with statistical analysis\nGreat attention to detail and problem-solving abilities\nGood analytical skills\nBachelor’s degree in ME or IE or equivalent work experience\nWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or process improvement\nAdditional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nThe company fosters a manufacturing-type environment.
