An Electrical Engineering Co-op/Intern will support the Electrical Engineering team by performing tests and design changes.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nUpholds Andis Core Values in all work-related activities.\nProduct Testing - Including but not limited to: Voltage, Current, temperature, etc.\nMotor Testing - Speed, Torque, Power, Efficiency, etc.\nLithium-Ion Battery Testing\nPCB Functionality Testing \nComponent Testing - FETs, BJTs, Microcontrollers, Charge Controllers, etc.\nPrograms Microcontrollers using C programming language or similar.\nElectronics innovation utilizing development boards.\nInvestigates field failures and determines root cause of failure down to component level.\nDevelops test reports that clearly highlight test results.\nCompetitor product teardowns and investigation.\nProcesses written Engineering Change Requests. Engineering change requests includingvarious 2D drafting work using Electrical CAD, AutoCAD, bill of material changes and the writing of an Engineering Change Notice. This work is being done under close direction from a designer or engineer.\nUtilizes knowledge of engineering practices, mathematics, and other physical sciences to create or change 2D drawings using Electrical CAD, and or AutoCAD.\nMakes small design changes to 3D models previously created using the Solid Works program is a plus.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMust be enrolled in an accredited technical school or university studying toward an associate/bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronic or Equivalent Engineering degree program. \nProficient in MS Office, preferably Word, Power point and Excel. Experience with Circuit and PCB design software is a plus (Example - KiCad, Eagle, Altium, etc.). Experience with circuit simulation software is a plus (Example - LTSpice, Multisim, etc.) Experience with AutoCAD and Solidworksis a plus. \nAbility to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write Engineering Change Notices and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Engineers, Designers and Peers.\nAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.\nAndis is an equal opportunity employer.
