Our team includes alumni from SpaceX, Anduril, ABL, Palantir and Qualia. We build full-stack-from physics to perception to product-with speed, elegance, and an unwavering commitment to the mission.\nWe believe the maritime domain will define the next century of economics, geopolitics, and global security. We're here to shape it.\nAbout this role\nAndrenam is seeking an early career Electrical Engineer to make sure our hardware works the way it should, every time. You'll start by owning EE test and QA: testing boards and assemblies, troubleshooting failures, and diagnosing issues across our buoy hardware. As you build depth on our systems, you'll grow into harnessing and simple PCBA design. You'll also support custom hardware integrations when customers need something our standard platform doesn't yet do.\nYou'll work closely with our electrical design team, who will help you ramp up on our hardware. We're looking for someone who is hungry to learn, takes ownership seriously, and is excited to grow as an engineer while helping define how we build as we scale.\nWhat you'll do\nTest and QA:\nOwn electrical testing of boards, subassemblies, and full buoy systems.\nBuild and improve test procedures so every unit is checked consistently.\nTrack test results and quality issues, and flag trends to the design team.\nTroubleshooting and Diagnosis:\nTroubleshoot and diagnose electrical failures across our buoy hardware.\nWork with the electrical design team to root-cause issues and verify fixes.\nPartner with our technicians and manufacturing team to clear build issues quickly.\nHarnessing and PCBA:\nSupport harness builds, drawings, and documentation.\nOver time, take on PCBA design and revisions with support from senior engineers.\nCustom Integration:\nSupport custom and one-off integration builds for special customer requirements, helping build and test them through deployment.\nHelp verify that new integrations don't compromise core subsystem power, communications, or performance.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field.\nHands-on electrical experience through coursework, projects, internships, or student engineering teams, with at least one project you can walk through in detail.\nComfortable reading schematics and using common lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).\nStrong problem-solving instincts and a willingness to dig into unfamiliar problems until they're solved.\nClear communication and a track record of working well with others across teams.\nA high sense of ownership, a strong work ethic, and a drive to learn fast.\nNice to Have\nExposure to schematic capture or PCB layout tools.\nBoard bring-up or hardware debugging experience.\nExperience with wire harness design, builds, or drawings.\nScripting experience (such as Python) for test automation.\nExperience on a student engineering team such as robotics, SAE, or similar design-build competitions.\nLocation\nWork full-time onsite from our Torrance, CA office.\nWhy join us?\nAndrenam is an innovative, mission-driven company at the intersection of maritime autonomy and defense. We offer:\nCompetitive salary\nLong-term equity incentive program with significant growth potential.\nFlexible PTO and paid holidays.\nComprehensive medical, dental, vision insurance.\n401k\nLunch and snacks provided in office.\nAccess to a unique work environment, blending technology, maritime, and defense.\nSalary Range\n$95,000-$120,000\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
