This role supports analytical strategy through the design and execution of high-quality PFAS experiments and the generation of impactful scientific content aligned with Waters’ growth objectives and product development initiatives. With a strong foundation in FEMS analysis, you would be supporting the development of robust, PFAS customer-relevant workflows that address evolving contaminants and laboratory requirements.\nResponsibilities\nContributes as a technical expert on one or more defined PFAS application science projects, working independently and managing time effectively to meet agreed milestones. \nDesigns, executes, interprets and summarizes FEMS experiments, ensuring data quality, robustness, and reproducibility.\nProvides scientific input to cross-functional teams to help ensure customer use cases are accurately reflected in project deliverables.\nAuthors and contributes to scientific content such as application notes, workflow documents, and technical presentations.\nParticipates in scientific conferences, webinars, customer discussions and technical forums through content development and scientific input.\nApplies existing methodologies and contributes to the evaluation of new technologies, workflows, and approaches. \nIdentifies opportunities for incremental improvements in analytical workflows and experimental design.\nQualifications\nEducation:\nMSc or PhD in a scientific discipline. \nExperience:\nProven practical experience of developing contaminant analytical methods using sample preparation, chromatography and mass spectrometry for FEMS applications, with PFAS experience preferred, using Waters or other related technologies.\nConsiderable experience contributing to scientific reports, application notes, workflows, or customer-facing technical materials.\nCompetencies:\nClear scientific communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences. \nCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across functions and globally distributed project teams. \nStrong scientific curiosity, problem-solving skills and willingness to learn and develop new technical capabilities. \nGood planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. \nTravel (If Applicable):\nSome international travel (In addition to salary, we work flexibly and provide 25 days holidays, excellent family friendly benefits such as attractive employer pension contribution, life assurance, income protection and private medical.
