We are at the forefront of future engineering technologies, with solutions that ensure the success of our clients in key industries that are shaping the future of the world we live in.\nJOB PROFILE\nEHS Coordinator\nWorking location: Appleton, Wisconsin\nGeneral Description\nReporting to the Regional Manager HSE PFR NA, this position is responsible for assisting with creating and communicating the overall safety and environmental program while identifying applicable regulations and risks in the Neenah, WI facility while working directly with the HSE personnel for Appleton and Green Bay. The position will closely interact with Plant operations leaders and production personnel.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS\nWorks closely with functional leaders to develop, implement, and maintain a written workplace HSE Program at the local level. This will include IOS 45001 and ISO 14001 Certifications.\nAssists with establishing and implementing HSE programs to assure the highest possible degree of workplace safety for employees, contractors, and guests while enabling us to reach our business goals.\nConducts or directs efforts to identify hazards thru monitoring to evaluate the safety of company systems and processes. Record and document findings thru appropriate Andritz systems and forms.\nServes as a resource for administering required training thru the company’s Safety management program.\nAssist in the preparation of incident investigations, reporting, recordkeeping, and metrics evaluation including customer generated information requests. Complete the monthly HSE Key Performance Indicators spreadsheet.\nFacilitate regular workplace and equipment inspections and audits including accurate documentation and timely closure of corrective actions. Maintain the plant’s Safety Action Log.\nAssists with establishing clear and visible safety and environmental awareness efforts at the local plant site level.\nDevelops and implements appropriate emergency response systems in conjunction with the local plant site.\nAssist location management with general HSE related activities, reviews, and initiatives to support implementation and improvement. Heavy concentration in assuring documentation that meets corporate and regulatory requirements. Complete plant’s federal, state, and city environmental reports.\nAssist to implement pollution prevention programs at the local level.\nAssists with managing environmental processes to assure proper waste management and minimization practices in accordance with RCRA and TSCA regulatory requirements. Update the plant’s ESG Cockpit Tool with environmental data.\nAssists with managing environmental processes to assure proper surface and ground water management and spill and contingency planning. Perform periodic reviews and required reporting.\nPerforms other duties and projects as assigned by management.\nCompetencies\nLeadership\nAbility to work independently, prioritize, problem solve, manage time, effectively and be an initiative taker.\nThis individual must have leadership abilities and be an excellent communicator with exceptional people skills.\nPartners with site leadership to continuously improve the organization’s HSE practices and culture to achieve world class standards.\nCommunication\nMust be an excellent communicator in both oral and written forums with exceptional people skills.\nUnderstand all applicable safety and environmental requirements and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.\nMust have superior confidence and comfort levels in 1/1 and group settings.\nHSE Excellence\nRegulatory knowledge and experience working under US regulations while capable of learning new regulations and applying this knowledge to achieve results would be beneficial.\nMust be able to demonstrate extreme multi-tasking capability and professionalism in a high-pressure environment.\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\nHSE experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper industry would be beneficial. Strong Knowledge of HSE Regulations & Program requirements preferred.\nRequires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to generate concise and accurate reports and presentation materials.
