Select grinding wheels (30” dia.) according to knowledge of metal properties and abrasives.\nGrind roll up to 2,000mm dia., 14,000mm length.\nOrganize, plan and prioritize work.\nRead work order and production schedules to determine specifications.\nPerform wheel changes.\nMount wheels to hub.\nMake roll measurements and roll track measurements.\nMaintain close tolerance (microns).\nUse and maintain a variety of precision measuring / inspection equipment\nCheck roll diameters.\nMake hardness and smoothness checks.\nRemove dummy heads\nSelect drivers and shoes for job.\nPerform daily machine/equipment maintenance including routine oil and filter changes and greasing machine and maintain equipment service records.\nAttention to detail and good work ethic.\nComplete daily paperwork.\nFollow good housekeeping practice, keep area clean and organized.\nQualifications/Education\nSeeking a grinder with at least 3 -
