This role works closely with Production, Engineering, HSE, and other departments to troubleshoot equipment issues, minimize downtime, and maintain equipment in good working condition.\nThe Maintenance Technician will perform hands-on mechanical and technical work, support continuous improvement initiatives, assist with equipment installations and modifications, and help maintain effective preventative maintenance practices. The successful candidate will be a versatile, self-directed problem solver with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of industrial equipment and systems.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nHere’s an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:\nPerform all assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to organizational safety standards and procedures.\nPerform preventative, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production equipment, machinery, utilities, and facility systems.\nTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment-related issues to identify root causes and restore equipment to safe operating condition.\nRespond to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.\nInspect machinery and equipment regularly to identify potential problems and recommend corrective actions before failures occur.\nComplete maintenance work orders, document repairs, record parts and materials used, and maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP.\nUtilize the Plant Maintenance module in SAP as required to review, update, and complete maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance activities.\nAssist with the development and improvement of preventative maintenance procedures, work instructions, and equipment maintenance standards.\nAssist with installation, commissioning, modification, relocation, and start-up of machinery, equipment, and facility systems.\nWork with internal teams, contractors, OEMs, and service providers on equipment repairs, maintenance activities, and technical projects.\nAssist with capital projects and equipment improvements by providing hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, equipment installation, and commissioning assistance.\nRead and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical documentation, and other information necessary to perform maintenance and repairs.\nPerform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs within the scope of training, experience, and applicable regulations, including working with motors, sensors, controls, and related equipment.\nPerform welding, fabrication, machining, and other basic shop work as required to maintain or modify equipment and facilities.\nMaintain an appropriate inventory of commonly used maintenance parts, tools, and supplies and communicate replenishment needs to the appropriate personnel.\nAssist with contractor activities and ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company requirements.\nProactively identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, productivity, quality, and maintainability.\nParticipate in LEAN, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S, and other continuous improvement activities.\nMaintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area in accordance with 5S standards.\nTrain and share technical knowledge with other employees as appropriate to support safe and effective equipment operation and maintenance.\nSupport emergency response activities and follow established procedures for responding values and behaviors, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWhen selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:\nEducation, Licenses, & Certifications:\nRelevant technical education, apprenticeship, trade training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nLegally authorized to work in the country in which they’ve applied.\nExperience:\nMinimum of 3 years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.\nDemonstrated experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.\nExperience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems.\nExperience with equipment installation, repair, modification, or project-based maintenance work.\nExperience working safely around industrial machinery, electrical systems, and other workplace hazards.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.\nWorking knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, including preventative and corrective maintenance.\nAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment-related problems.\nFamiliarity with industrial electrical systems and components, including motors, sensors, switches, controls, and related equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.\nTechnically savvy with the ability to use computers and maintenance management systems, including SAP.\nAbility to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and maintenance-related equipment safely and effectively.\nAbility to weld and perform basic fabrication and repair work.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple maintenance priorities, and respond effectively to unexpected equipment failures.\nLogical thinker with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting strategies.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.\nVersatile, flexible, and cooperative attitude with the ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, HSE, contractors, and other departments.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to assist physically where required to set up, repair, modify, or maintain equipment.\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% annually, particularly during initial training or for specialized equipment training.\nOther Valued Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nIndustrial electrical experience or electrical trade training.\nPLC troubleshooting experience.\nExperience with variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor controls, sensors, and industrial control systems.\nExperience with CNC equipment, machine tools, or other industrial manufacturing equipment.\nExperience with LEAN manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or 5S.\nExperience working with OEMs and outside maintenance contractors.\nExperience in training or mentoring other employees.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMobility: Ability to spend significant time on the manufacturing floor, including standing, walking, bending, crouching, climbing stairs/ladders, and moving around machinery and work areas as required.\nManual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment controls, computers, and maintenance-related devices; sufficient vision and hearing to inspect equipment, read technical information, and communicate safely in a manufacturing environment.\nLifting/Carrying: Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull tools, parts, materials, and equipment components, with assistance or mechanical aids when required.\n Environmental Factors: Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, dust, heat, fumes,
