ANDRITZ operates more than 280 sites in over 40 countries.\nJOB PROFILE\nMECHANICAL SERVICES MECHANIC\nWorking location: Griffin, GA, USA\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS\nRoll Mechanics responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Roll Mechanic will be responsible for the disassembly and assembly of bearing housings, and internal roll components. Using air tools and hand tools, hydraulic bearing/gear pullers. Visual inspection of roll components and parts, to ensure quality of used components. Properly documenting repair requirements, as listed in company repair manuals and instructions. Capable of safely handling rolls and components using overhead cranes and forklifts. Capacities can reach 60 tons.\nDemonstrate knowledge and skills using:\nBasic hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, cutting with a torch, basic layout, blueprint reading, and precision measurement.\nPerform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, and stooping).\nWear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots, etc.).\nMaintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations. Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.\nTroubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and performance.\nHelp meet or exceed quality goals through a quality maintenance program.\nPreferred candidatewill have knowledge of bearings, chains, sprockets, and troubleshooting techniques. \nSuccessful candidatesmust be able to perform, basic computer /data entry skills.\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\nEducation: High school Diploma or equivalent.\nExperience: 2 years of relevant manufacturing-related mechanical or millwright experience, or 2 years technical training preferred.
