We are at the forefront of future engineering technologies, with solutions that ensure the success of our clients in key industries that are shaping the future of the world we live in.\nJOB PROFILE\nNDT TECHNICIAN II\nWorking location: Ruston, LA\nGeneral Description\nThe roll shop NDT level II technician performs calibrations, non-destructive tests, evaluates test results in determining\ncomponent acceptance according to written processes / procedures and submits electronic reporting results. The\ntechnician must be qualified to set up equipment, equipment calibration checks, perform inspections, interpret inspection\nresults, evaluate results and submit electronic reports to customer detailing inspection findings. The technician is familiar\nwith the test procedures, work scope and knows the limitations of the method of NDT being used. The technician will\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS\nSet up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment\nPerform inspection to detect discontinuities, defects, flaws or anomalies using NDT methods of inspection\nFollow inspection procedures for proper examination of components, ensuring strict adherence to safety\nregulations\nPerform testing in accordance with procedures or standards and evaluate results\nCollect, organize and electronically report inspection results\nCommunicate and interface with customers and management\nPerform specialized inspections\nEnsure rolls / components requiring inspections within shop inventory is maintained\nMay instruct and supervise others at times\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\nTraining background in NDT methods and procedures, knowledge of equipment / effectively perform NDT tasks and\ninterpret results of inspections.\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required\nExcellent communication skills including correct basic grammar, spelling, punctuation.\nAbility to safely carry out oral and written work instructions\nStrong work ethic, dependable and strong attention to detail\nExceptional safety and quality awareness\nMechanical aptitude\nRequires ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and\nnoise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals.\nPhysical conditions for positions: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb,\nascend/descend stairs, maneuver within tight spaces, and may require lifting in excess of 50 lbs. Must have visual\nacuity and color vision, manual dexterity, ability to endure long hours, and wear required personal protective\nequipment.
