Project scopes, as well as our expertise, is mainly focused on the design, manufacture and installation of equipment for hydroelectric power plants, such as Turbine components, Generator components, Intake Gates, lifting equipment, guides, civil, mechanical and electrical works as well as controls and instrumentation. Recognized as a leader in this field, we serve all Canadian & Private electric generation utilities.\nThe following responsibilities form the core of this role:\nSource and negotiate pricing with suppliers;\nManage, issue and revise purchase orders (PO) ;\nNotify suppliers of drawing revisions and their impacts on our PO’s ;\nEnforce and negotiate commercial terms & conditions and all contractual requirements;\nPrepare offer evaluation comparative summaries and make recommendations;\nFollow up on manufacturing or orders and acceleration requests from projects for deliveries;\nRespond to or facilitate suppliers questions;\nCommunicate with Project team and engineers for project details (budgets, requisitions, specifications, delivery dates, etc.);\nFollow procurement procedures and spending approval policy;\nWork closely with accounts payables to reconcile invoices and provide supporting documentation;\nEnsure suppliers have the appropriate documentation to proceed with work;\nEnsure suppliers submit all required contractual and quality documentation;\nAssist suppliers with validation of packing lists and their creation in LMS;\nNegotiate vendor claims and change orders, as required;\nSupport the field site teams for urgent purchases;\nReporting as required by department or senior management;\nCross functional training as required;\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhy do you fit the profile?\nSuccessful teams share objectives, but also values!
