From advanced automation to digital transformation, we’re driving the future of industrial performance.\nWe’re looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our Automation & Digitalization team-someone who thrives on building smart, reliable systems and wants to play a key role in delivering impactful projects across North American pulp and paper industrial facilities.\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou’ll be at the center of high-impact projects, responsible for guiding control systems project development from concept through commissioning:\nLead and support control systems projects through all phases-feasibility, design, implementation, and commissioning\nIdentify opportunities to expand automation and electrification scope within projects to deliver additional client value \nCollaborate closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are successfully achieved \nDesign and develop modern control systems (hardware and software) tailored to client needs\nDevelop process control narratives to integrate automation solutions with new and existing equipment and processes\nBuild and implement control algorithms and logic, based on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.\nTest, simulate, and troubleshoot systems to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance \nProduce clear, high-quality technical documentation and project deliverables\nDrive checkout and commissioning activities to completion including the ability to provide training to operations and maintenance teams on DCS system handover \nLeadership & Impact\nGuide the team - Mentor and coach junior engineers and technologists to expand their control systems engineering skills and knowledge \nLead the business - support estimates and proposals, project planning, and risk mitigation strategies\nLead by example - Uphold and reinforce ANDRITZ’s quality standards, and core #1ANDRITZway behaviours \nWhat You Bring\nDegree or diploma in Engineering (automation, electrical, or related field) \nRegistration as EIT, P.Eng., or AScT in British Columbia \n10+ years of industrial experience (Pulp & Paper and consulting experience is a strong asset) \nExcellent communication and leadership skills \nHands-on design and configuration experience with DCS platforms (e.g., ABB, Emerson, Foxboro, Honeywell) \nExperience with PLC/HMI systems and project management is an asset \nProven problem-solving ability across control systems hardware, software, and communications \nStrong knowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity practices \nWillingness and ability to travel to domestic and international project sites \nLegally entitled to work in Canada \nWhy Join ANDRITZ?\nWork on cutting-edge automation and digitalization projects \nBe part of a global leader in industrial engineering \nCollaborate with a team that values innovation, ownership, and continuous learning \nSalary range 120,000 to 160,000; commensurate with experience.\nANDRITZ is an equal opportunity employer.
