You will support end-to-end environmental and reliability test campaigns-including Design Verification Testing (DVT), qualification, and reliability testing-for advanced optical payloads across air, ground, maritime, and space domains. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives on taking complex hardware from early proof-of-concept through to full-rate production.\nWhat You’ll Do\nFunction as a member of an interdisciplinary team capable of executing static, dynamic, fatigue, thermal and vibration testing on all of Anduril’s product lines for the Imaging Division\nTest items ranging from small integrated electronics systems to full system level sensors and more\nOperate thermal chambers, shakers, data acquisition systems and structural test equipment as needed to satisfy test objectives\nLead test design reviews, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans\nBuild test equipment, implement test automation, analyze failures and execute qualification campaigns\nTravel to test sites as needed. This includes local and out of state travel which could be a week or two at a time\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of professional experience in a related engineering field\nSolid knowledge of climatic and dynamic testing\nSolid knowledge of environmental test instrumentation and data acquisition\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nGood at working independently and with various teams and key stakeholders\nMust be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs for short periods of time\nMust be comfortable with hands on work and working in noisy environments including outdoors under adverse weather conditions\nMinimum BS in an engineering discipline\nEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPerformed Environmental testing at previous job(s) for military and/or commercial industry\nStrong Knowledge and test execution per MIL-STD-810 and/or MIL-STD-461\nStrong Knowledge of Shock & Vibration testing including fixture design and control strategies\nStrong knowledge of various instrumentation and data acquisition\nGenerated MATLAB/Python scripting for test data automation and data processing\nBasic understanding of hoisting and lifting / rigging\nKnowledge on how to run and operate shakers, chambers, and other major test apparatus\nEnvironmental Stress Screening Principles\nCAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards\nExperience in an immersive interdisciplinary technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings)\nUS Salary Range\n$129,000—$171,000 USD\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
