This role is the central point of contact for all supply chain needs across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, and Facilities. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies that ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and quality while enabling the business to scale. Through supplier negotiations, cradle-to-grave order management, and data-driven performance management, you will directly support both engineering development programs and production planning requirements in alignment with strategic sourcing initiatives.\nWhat You'll Do\nTeam Leadership & Development\nLead and develop a team of supply chain professionals including Buyers, Sourcing Engineers, and Subcontract Managers.\nProvide hands-on training, coaching, and mentorship to build team capability and expertise.\nHire world-class talent to support the rapid expansion of the team.\nDrive organizational consistency and expectations through key performance indicators (KPIs).\nStrategic Sourcing & Supplier Management\nDevelop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals, targeting supply continuity, quality, efficiency, and cost optimization at scale.\nNegotiate complex commercial terms and Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) to establish best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms.\nBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships; analyze supplier data and identify opportunities to expand or consolidate the Approved Supplier List (ASL).\nProactively identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, including disruptions and changes in market conditions.\nCross-Functional Execution\nLead cross-functional projects to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets in partnership with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, and Manufacturing.\nSupport engineering and manufacturing requirements and program timelines for development and production products.\nCollaborate with supply chain experts across the company to develop and execute supply chain best practices.\nIdentify and execute cost reduction projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency and overall supply chain performance.\nOperations & Compliance\nOwn procurement process cradle-to-grave: purchase order placement, supplier management, and resolution of downstream issues with receiving, finance, and accounting.\nMaintain procurement-related master data in the ERP system and support required annual audits.\nMonitor KPIs, analyze data, and provide regular reports to leadership on supply chain performance.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.\n5+ years of supply chain experience in progressive roles within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on complex mechanical and/or electrical assembly.\n2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial position.\nExperience with technical procurement, including the ability to read drawings and blueprints.\nStrong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.\nFamiliarity with leading ERP systems.\nAbility to travel up to 20%.\nEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. TS security clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related technical field.\nPrevious experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry.\nExceptional analytical and organizational skills.\nProven leadership in driving and influencing large teams toward common goals.\nStrong team player who can adapt to different roles to support team progress, including individual contributor tasks while managing a team.\nUS Salary Range\n$144,000—$192,000 USD\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
